Wasn't it rumoured that if Spence play one more game for England then we'd receive some more add on money?

Could be a nice little boost for us going into the summer.

I think Rogers' reputation is solid regardless of what happens in the WC.
Spence needs to impress Ian Wright enough that he bangs the drum for him again.
 
I thought it was he starts in 2 world cup finals while playing as centre forward, but they don't count in England lose?
 
Spence looks much better now, it’s like he’s realised his strengths he and most thought hed had are his weaknesses, and his weaknesses he and most thought he had are now his strengths. It’s like he’s 180’d and is becoming a well rounded player, seems to be growing up a bit too.

I can see him playing against the better teams/ wingers to try and keep em locked down, won’t be pushing on as much.

But crucially it was playing for Spurs, which is an important part of the selection criteria - you can guarantee he wouldn't have got there if he played the same for Brighton or Bournemouth.
 
Doesn't seem to be doing Englands team spirit any harm. Thought he was decent in the first half of a poor game.

Hopefully as mentioned he gets that further competitive time on the pitch. Only one needed now whether its a start a minute or anything in between.
 
We will probably get more Spence money soon as I expect him to play some part in the group stage matches.

On another point I watched a ITV documentary on the Vardys in Italy. It showed Jamie Vardy posing on an Lambretta scooter. He told his wife he was not allowed to ride a scooter as part of his contract with Cremonese, I guess because of the injury risk. Do posters remember when Spence was larking about on scooter when at Boro and another Boro player was with him and was injured and missed a game? The scooter incident lost him friends at Boro especially with Warnock. It was seen as immature and unprofessional. 4 months later he was loaned out to Forest.

The Vardy documentary was interesting, but I leave that for another thread.
 
He has to START two competitive games. I could see him starting the third group game, and potentially any big game in the knockouts with a pacey winger. So I think we will only get the extra if we go deep in the competition
