Sporar and connolly ...will not pair up again

Wilder was defending him in the post match interview. Couldn't hear clearly what the journalist said but Wilder said "So you're judging him on three games?". Then made comparisons with Jack O'Connell at Sheff U and alluded to him being discussed with Southgate.

The constant periods of heading the ball in the air will hopefully stop . Balogun coming in effectively gave us the 3 pts , hopefully he starts against manu and the manager sees enough to maintain his position after that . Looks like sporar will be starting every game if he’s scoring 1in 5 ish
This. It occurred to me that Balogun might have had a "Welcome to the Championship" thought when the ball was regularly headed back into the air like pinball. I know Arsenal are poor right now but be must be used to seeing the ball on the ground occasionally. Having said that, they had us on toast with the ball on the ground!

A bit of pace, ability to press etc. Ikpeazu has none of those things, he just doesn’t fit the Wilder system.
Yes but on the other hand Ikpeazu scores occasionally and there's no evidence at all to suggest Connolly will. And as far as we know Ikpeazu maintains club discipline whereas Connolly will not. Connolly is contracted to Brighton until the summer of 2024. He's Brighton's problem, the best thing that could happen is for Wilder to realise that and send him back.

I think it’s sporar and baloguns turn now with watmore getting a subs cameo for being patient
Wouldn’t surprise me if Connolly got sent back in another 5-6 weeks

Coburn came into the side raw and scored goals!!!!
conolly can’t hit a barn door in comparison to our josh…..let’s be honest with ourselves

Was it Akpom or how he was expected to play?

Definitely Akpom, I used to work for Hull City and he was exactly the same there. Couldn’t believe it when we signed him.

Think he made it on Brighton’s worst ever XI as well.
