Anyone else think that the other Boro players don’t like him? I’m little concerned today because he had the chance to put Watmore through for his third and he basically passed the ball somewhere else. His body language on the field sometimes looks (not only today) strange and those who watched the game today will have noticed he missed a few chances to shoot and either passed or was too late in his shorting decision making.

So basically he wasn’t selfish. How does that suggest he isnt popular?

I'm really not convinced yet. This guy will be on a decent wage percentage and loan fee.

He definitely has 'moments' and I'm not writing him off. I just think he's missed some decent chances over the last month.

To be fair you look at Payero / Sporar and JLS and I'm simply not convinced despite being high profile. You'd have to say we've had far better value out of Crooks / Bamba / Peltier / Lumley and Uche. All 'Warnock' signings.

I think Sporar had a 6mil (ish) signing on fee? I can't see us paying that as it stands.

Shut up

Sporar has quality and I just think he's still trying to fit in. I'm not sure what the fee is we've agreed with his club but if it's less than £10m I'd definitely sign him.

I like the look of him. He plays off the shoulder and has good movement but I’ve been a bit puzzled by his lack of goals.
I think the deal was an obligation to buy at £7m if we got promoted and he scored 15 goals, could be wrong though.

Personally I thought he played well, might be the second goal, his pressing and hold up play I thought were great, he did a lot of donkey work today that probably went unseen by most.

I remember that the reports on him before he signed were that fans liked him because he worked hard but he tended to miss a lot of chances. He reminds me a lot of Bamford; he relies on intelligence, skill and movement to cause problems for a defence. He hasn't been as prolific as Bamford but the Leeds fans spent ages wanting rid of Bamford because he didn't score enough. I also think he's been carrying a slight knock so he's not quite 100%; given how he plays that probably affects him more than most.

I met some Leeds fans on holiday who said pretty much that just after signed. Said I was gutted and his goals will get them promoted. One occasion I was very sad 😢 to be right

I'm prepared to give him the benefit of doubt, because I think he's played the last three games whilst being unfit. He'll have a weeks rest now, so hopefully Swansea will be the game where we'll see a big performance from him.

I'm still confident he can do well for us playing in this system. I get the impression Wilder rates him, and will see him and Payero as being key to the way he wants us to play.

After watching Britt Assombalonga for the last few seasons it's nice to finally see a good quality centre forward. He's an intelligent footballer and in this Wilder team the goals will come. Also like the look of his partnership with Watmore.
