Was just reading about him. Will Smallbone, on loan from Southampton. Apparently he gets around the pitch and covers a lot of ground. He'll have to carry on in that vein if our passing game is up to scratch. Obvious as it sounds, football is so much easier if you have the ball. Another different test for us. Hopefully we are up for it. I am pretty confident that we are. The longer Carrick is in charge, the more confident I am that Boro will continue to improve. He's done a remarkable job.
 
I am rather concerned about this one to be honest.

I suppose the good thing is that they aren't going to catch us cold after their run of form, we know what could be coming at us.
 
I agree that they seem to be finding their feet after a poor start to the season. I don't think we can afford to give them a goal start.
 
Definitely a tougher game than earlier in the season but then so are we too. Hopefully we start strong, would be nice to get an early goal for once. They're doing pretty decent away from home.

Smallbone should have had two the other night v Blackburn... very mobile, tons of energy & looks a very decent player. I thought Stoke looked very good v Blackburn until the last 20mins after subs & they managed to hang on - midfield looked good.

They owe us 2 points from that game. How we didn't win I'll never know. Wilder might still be here if we had.
 
The crowd will be less than Reading game our last home game.

Mid week games always seem to get a couple of thousand less.

This game is also a Main Event Sky game - live on TV.

I don't know what Stoke will bring but my guess is between 1000 and 1200 as they have won their last 2 away games and won 4 from 6. Their form is top 6.

Overall I was also say 25k.

This is the Championship, perhaps the most competitive league in the world.

We have to be on it from the start and take nothing for granted, if we are I won’t complain win, lose or draw.

every game is a 3 pointer... zero easy games in this league though some teams have more - abileteh - to get a result than others.. Stoke are in form & will be a tough game to win..
