This should be a great race on Saturday, Van Aert, Van der Poel, Van Avermart along with British contenders Simon Yates and Tom Pidcock. Even TDf winner Pogacar racing.
Could Tom get in the lead group and have a chance? He has had a couple of good performances already in the classics.
The loose 68km of loose roads and gravel will almost certainly play a part along with the weather.

There are quite a few other likely contenders too. Bardet, Formolo, Kwiatkowski, Fugelsang ... it's a really hot edition I can't wait.

I heard the weather is not looking too good so it could be a factor.
By all accounts, Van Aert has been smashing it in training so he has to be amongst the favourites alongside VdP.
Be interesting to see if Annemiek van Vleuten can keep up with Anna van der Breggen in the women's race after missing the move last week.

I think the distance may prove too much for Tom, but hope I'm wrong. Alaphillipe is of course one of the big favourites, but I'd keep an eye on Bauke Mollema who is flying at the moment.

There's a load of possible winners and luck can play a big part - a puncture (and there will be plenty) at the wrong moment can ruin your chances.

Interesting that you mention punctures there pierre as I'd say that races like the Strada and Paris Roubaix would be ideal candidates for running tubeless setups. I know the pros are not the best at adapting to change, but given the extra issues with changing a disc brake wheel you'd think that a tubeless tyre ran at a slightly lower pressure would be the best option. Short of cutting the sidewall you'd think that the sealant would keep them inflated and given modern manufacturing tolerances I think the worry about the tyre rolling off the rim must be becoming less and less of an issue.
