when we lost 4 games on the trot in the championship.
Anybody know ?
Anybody know ?
Wasn't that then followed by us winning the final 5 games of the season or have I misremembered that.Didn't we lose 6 under Pulis when we lost out to derby for 6th?

He started that off by putting Friend on for Assombalonga when we were winning 1-0 - and we lost 2-1Didn't we lose 6 under Pulis when we lost out to derby for 6th?
Absolutely agree with this, but the comical defending has been a persistent issue all season. Surely they must work on defending properly in training.Last 4 defeats.
Preston, comical winner as Morris passes it to two Boro players who have crashed into each other and Ayling scuffs it to the striker. Sunderland, two own goals. Sheffield United, keeper outjumped from a corner. Watford, winner from unmarked player from corner. Anybody see a pattern here? Surely it seems more on the players rather than the Manager? Or will a new Manager somehow be able to stop this? Maybe Carrick should throw them under the bus a bit more to deflect attention, like previous recent Managers?
You can coach players as much as you want but if you miss that putt or miss the black off the spot, it is essentially down to the player. Maybe this buy low, sell high policy is to blame as the players do not have enough experience around them at the moment (Howson, Smith, Lenihan, Dieng, Fry) to cope when the going gets tough?Absolutely agree with this, but the comical defending has been a persistent issue all season. Yes and we all knew we were blowing the season right there in that run of defeats.Didn't we lose 6 under Pulis when we lost out to derby for 6th?
Feels all to familiar at the momentYes and we all knew we were blowing the season right there in that run of defeats.
Karanka played Varga at right backI seam to remember we had issues conceding late goals and many from set pieces under Mowbray.
After he left Karanka stopped it almost immediately.
Under Monk we had no shape and conceded a lot. Our Tony (never spent a penny) Pullis manage to stop that pretty sharpe.
Some of the goals and the number of glorious chances we give away at the moment are down to stupid individual errors, and trying to overplay. Perhaps if we stop trying to be prime Lotha Mattaus every time we get the ball then we may not be in positions to create so many chances for the opposition.
If we can create a better shape off the ball and we are not under so much pressure then hopefully we won’t be in a position to shoot ourselves in the foot as often. Then the mistakes happen less frequently.
