Sue Gray report going through legal checks

Well well sue fair play looks like she’s took it seriously after all and now with the met to add on it’s not a great look for bo jo the clown is it 🤡

Agree but they will work on it so that when it does come out they will have already anticipated the revelations and “acted” like moved on a few civil servants and personal advisers.

Reading more it sounds like Johnson has filled the place with hangers on. Gray has specifically commented on the huge increase in staff at No 10 from a small team under previous Prime Ministers to what is now the size of a small Government Department. Has all the feel of an inner cabal of power and reflects on Johnsons own insecurities that he has to have so many people there.

Agreed, she has surprised me. Talking about failures of leadership, blurred lines of accountability and actions that are difficult to justify..... that's enough for any person responsible at the top to do the honourable thing.
Of course we know he won't.
Will he get a vote of no confidence?

No chance of that. Reading the weekend papers its clear those wavering have been promised jobs, cash incentives and offered honours for staying loyal.

The most interesting thing in the report is that the police are investigating the flat on the day that Cummings left.
Boris has always argued about the garden being part of his house and the office but there's no way that anything in the flat can be claimed to be a work event.
She has done a good job and there is no way the rest of this wont be published when the police finish.

I think this is one of the main points in this very limited report, Gray basically states that the number 10 garden should not have been used for such gatherings.

Which probably means that if we ever see the full report, she will have savaged it's use for parties.

There's a lot of very careful wording in that summary report.

Honestly I don't think there has ever been a time when Johnson hasn't relished the sound of his own voice. I suspect his total lack of self awareness will ever change that.
 
He really just does not give even the remotest fk.
Never in my lifetime have I seen such shameful self interest and lack of personal responsibility from someone in office.
He shames the office of the most important job in the Country.
And Kier is right.... he insults us all.
 
Promising structural and back-office changes to the way Downing Street is run. Codes of conduct etc. Not resigning.

How depressingly predictable.
