Tav

Having watched that - what do people want? He very rarely gives the ball away, he nearly always looks forwards for his passes, but does adjust if there is nothing on. Wins the ball back numerous times. Gets an assist.

How good was he a couple of years ago, if people now think he has gone backwards?
What do people want? They want someone to slag off. Performance is irrelevant.

Tav is a crucial part of the way we play now. He would take a lot of replacing.
Did anyone else notice on Saturday, he took a big hit early on and moaned at the ref, who gave him a lecture about who was in charge. The ref gave him very little after that. Even Warnock accused him of being a moaner which is a bit rich!

Personally I think Tav is growing with the team and the new manager. He’s been very effective over the past few games so I’m not too worried about the naysayers. However, the new acquisitions might mean that his days as a first team player might be numbered.

I don't think anyone has been brought in to replace him, they will have been brought in to give the manager options on a game-by-game basis
I actually think the fact we've signed two left footed midfielders this week is a sign he'll move in the summer, unless we go up of course.

Warnock said that he'd move off promotion didn't happen and these signings I think support that.

He's a top player and we're lucky to have him.

He may well move to a prem club if we fail to get promoted. My point was he won't be dropped because of the new arrivals. He may be rested from time to time, or for tactical reasons, but he will be one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Couldn't agree more, no way he gets dropped.

If you listened to Wilder’s post game interview on Saturday, you will know how highly he rates Tav. The criticism of some fans was mentioned and Wilder was very complimentary about what he brings to the team.

I’ve noticed a marked improvement in his decision making since Wilder took over. I think the move to his best position has had a lot to do with it but I also think the switch to low, placed crosses and the way we move the ball to create chances around the edge of the box suits him too.
