That new era at old Trafford - now de jong to Chelsea !!!

Wellbeck's been excellent. Half wondered during the summer if it'd be worth a cheeky offer from us for him, but he's still clearly way too good a player to be dropping down yet.

No love or even care for either club , but I’d liked to have seen a united win with rashford grabbing a couple just for the sake of England.

they did look very disjointed man united, some odd signings and looked like nothing has been done on the training pitch . They are going to badly need ronaldo I think .

but he wants off , so what do they do !!!!!

terrible times for them all

Brighton were well worth their win and are a good team. To think Boro beat them to promotion in 2016 too. We've regressed while they've cracked on.

They are a good team, and whilst we have regressed, football is cyclic, it goes around and comes around.

Too much can and will be read into 1 match.

However was playing the "over or under" argument with a couple of friends over the summer, based on the 26 year drought they previously had.

Liverpool fan thought it would be more this time, given the strength of competition now.

Man U fan thought it would be less, but didnt back it up with much more than "it's gotta be" and "it's Man U, isn't it".

I won some money on the game trading, in an odd way, a brighton win on the correct score market. You are right, man utd don't scare teams any more, they know they can "have a go". The prices don't reflect their mediocrity though.

They were dreadful but that squad is a complete disaster. Any coach will need two full years of doing what he wants, shaping the staff and the system and the style, for there to be any real progress. There’s no pattern to anything they do. It’s criminal really, the amount of money it’s cost to produce what they served up today. They’re in a complete mess.

And I love it.
