That wind last night ….

The strongest since Storm Arwan 3 years ago. That storm caused chaos in the North of England. Berwick almost had no fresh water at one point.

Power went at 12 noon at work, we couldn't get through to the emergency number , on line it said power expected back at 0030am. Just before I left at 2000 news came through that power was now expected somewhere between 12 -6 today, I'm back at 3 today I can't wait to see the carnage.

Was horrendous at 12:15 this morning at the Riverside.. I had to walk from the legends to the front of the stadium for a taxi and could barely stand. It was like being in a wind tunnel.

the rain was hitting my face that hard I couldnt feel it by the time the taxi turned up

Teesside Intl Airport reporting max gust of wind (over last 24hr) on one occasion slightly over 50mph, most other gusts mid 40's . Although it was noisy enough for me to get no sleep again, it was not like the levels during Arwen which regularly topped mid 70's for a long time

I’ll be honest the gusts at Marton felt bigger than that
