When the best team wins every time football will be a lot poorer.

Good team, but not a great team for me. Certainly not a patch on their previous winners. Pele, Romario, Ronaldo........Richarlison?!

Also too many divers and Anthony always looks like he's about to cry.

Even when they aren’t the underdog. A lot of people watch neutral matches wanting to be entertained. And it’s something most Croatia games lack. Plus a lot of people wanted the big Argentina v Brazil clash.

It’s almost as if people watch football for different reasons. You’ve not got much right to tell people they are wrong for wanting team a or team b to win a match.

I like watching teams competing using different approaches, it makes tournaments interesting. Croatia today, catenaccio with Italy etc. It's all good.

The dances would be fine if they were what looked like the winning goals or the winning goal of the WC but they give it to every single one and reportedly somewhere had practised various goal dances for Croatia, they would have been better off practising penalties if it had ever occurred to them that Croatia might not just roll over.

I know I said that above. But they come to Europe with a big reputation largely because they are from Brazil or Argentina, they go into decent sides and often they sink and often they swim. But I don’t believe across the squads themselves they have the same quality as the “big” European sides (obviously they are better than like Switzerland, who are also full of European based players).

I’m not saying they’re rubbish but I think the days of South America being seen as a level pegging with Europe May be over.

Those that have been force fed Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool for decades particularly. And I loved the end to last season's Premier League.

The crying from those parts about them buying success is gratifying too.
