The Clash - London Calling

First hearing White Riot, then hearing their first album and the hearing Complete Control are my most exciting Clash memories. Somewhere amongst those three would be their gig at The Rock Garden had the sound been better. Cannot fault them for exuberance though. Saw them a few times later.
London Calling as good as it is is further down on the excitmentometer.

The London Calling video shoot got a bit ‘rock n roll’ at the end.
It was, as seen, raining…but it was freezing cold as well. It went on a bit, like filming can. When they finished the band grabbed their guitars and stuff and Simonon who was driving the van would return and pick the roadies Johnny Green and The Baker, and the hired back line after dropping the band off.
The guys packed the gear and waited, and waited for Simonon, getting wetter and colder.
In the end they got totally pi$$ed off dropped the hired gear into the Thames and got a train back home.😂
