The end?

Sort of interesting weekend with Ivanov croaking (a true Putinite) and Shoigu going AWOL. While the ordinary musovite remains docile and ignorant, there is some unrest.

Now they have aligned themselves with the Voenkors and many colonels and brigadiers at the frontline, with backing all the way up into the Duma. Putin seems to have gotten into his head to open a second front against EU, and they very well understand that would be it for Russia.
Putin has lost his marbles and want Uncle Luka to attack towards Kyiv, while he opens a new front and attacks Estonia. Uncle Luka called and told us, but we already knew.
And the Army officers together with the Voenkors and the Olde Patriots now that it would be the end of Russia forever. So, they seem to move towards removing the problem.

Ivanov was the last real general holding the post (Defence chief). After him came Serdyokov, a politruk through and through, now heading Rostec. And after him the fallen Shoigu.
Shoigu is a corrupt idiot, but he is useful for the Strelkovs of this world, since it would point to a continuation of power. He's angry that the Siloviki has offed his protegées.

We shall see what comes out of it. Rarely in Russia the first power grab succeeds.
Gorbachov ended in a coup, but the coup makers got counter couped by Yeltsin and his power block that had been biding their time in turn. And remember that Beria was also taken out in a counter-coup..."

Anyway, the GS period in hotseat is shortly to be over. Whether there's an attack on Narva before significant bridges (Tagenrog) are boofed, who knows.
According to TG he hasn't bugled thinngs completely ... and she concedes that his bridge fetish has uses. I think he'll miss it going back to bureaucracy.
 
GS back to meetings in sproutland now. He wasn't allowed to interfere with Tagenrog bridge... but there were good reasons for that. Better to allow trucks into the trap.
He did dump a rail bridge as a parting shot.

We knew this though nice to see the US take on it, I know many - like the presenter - certainly know which side the US should be backing, however the realisation that veto over use is not just strategic but political has led to Europe & UK looking to remove US from the game..

Aside from the GS updates, Denys, Jake Broe, Warburg and a few others are being fed good info from the AFU/EU camp.

The big oil storage hit in St Pete's was part of the payback for Russia's attach on Kyiv the other night.

Scrapping is pretty tough in Kaminske now ... TG pushing but the Russians realise how vital it is for them to hold it, so they are fighting hard.
It won't be qukck ... but if she takes that, things will progress more swiftly.
GS having a weekend off, so there might not be much from that quarter today.
