A reminder that this seemingly innocent little rag with its pages of puzzles, whose new owner in 2019 promised to preserve its impartial character, is owned by the Daily Mail.

I’ve noticed it is gradually becoming more sympathetic towards the Tories, well on the way to becoming yet another full blown right wing propaganda rag.

Shame because it used to be a decent read, the uk media gets more right wing by the day.
The radio is so slanted.
GB radio, talk radio, times radio and lbc all to the right, LBC are not as bad as the first 3.
Why isn't there a alternative?

The reason I ditched it.

It was owned by the Independent originally when it was a decent read, but was sold off when the Independent when online only.

It's got lefty liberal Ian Dunt still writing for it and also Andrew Fisher, who wrote Corbyn's 2017 GE Manifesto, so it still has that much going for it at least.

and Mark Steel, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown and Ayesha Hazarika, so those on the centre left and further left appear to still contribute

Ahh token lefties for 'balance' like James O'Brien on LBC ?

It was the cheapest paper in the shop so I bought a few to wrap some items in when moving. Didn’t read any of them though.

The test will be when the next GE comes and see how the i and Mail-owned Metro stand, they've been pretty neutral generally speaking imho
