Apologies to @Kowalski as this kind of thread is now his FMTTM intellectual property, but listening to my 80s Spotify playlist has made me remember just how good a band The Icicle Works were. I don't think I fully appreciated McNabb's songwriting in my youth........great lyrics and those hooks in the choruses are like aural crack cocaine.

Saw him on his own a few years ago - still got it. Outstanding

I saw them live a couple of times and they were great. I particularly remember a top gig at The Coatham Bowl. Seen Ian McNabb a couple of times too and didn't enjoy him half as much. Always seemed like he was living out a Neil Young wannabe fantasy. I saw him last in Glagow the night after seeing Cattle & Cane in the same venue. They blew him out of the park.

I had “Hollow Horse” - a masterful 80’s classic. They had that Liverpool sound going on… I think it was the guitars . Yep - I saw them at Coa tham to
Saw him/them quite a few times but best two times was Town Hall Crypt and The Leadmill. Also in s pub in Nerja but too long to tell as I am half cut at Fat Mac's funeral/wake.

I got Seven Singles Deep on cassette with the 7 additional songs (b sides) in the 90s
Does anyone know where this 14 track is available at reasonable price on cd or download, as I'd love to get it?
