THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW - 2022 - OFFICIAL AND UNOFFICAL RUMOURS

I'm as disappointed as the next man that our interest has cooled in 'the Iraqi Ian Harte' Ali Adnan but we must move on and look forward to a blockbusting 2nd half to the season even now.

HOLES, DUG BY LITTLE MOLES in our squad are there for everyone to see. the cover at left back and the left sided central defender. Mick McCarthy was being a total doyle over Ciaron Brown and I fully expect us to go back in January to have the lad released and brought back home to papa Neil. At 23yo he will take up one of our last two spots in the squad left sided centre back can cover at left back job done.

Bit of chin stroking to be done over the next spot. With Sammy Ameobi seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth could that mean we look to bring in another striker perhaps?

The first rumour to come out of the woodwork is in the form of 20yo Brazilian right back Heitor Rodrigues currently plying his trade at Internacional he takes the final available spot due to him not being a home grown player I assume? Looks very much like a replacement for Djed Spence which suggests a bit of movement in the transfer pot perhaps?

Looking at the available shirt numbers in the squad 3, 5, 26 & 30 (pretty sad right) Heitor Rodrigues is a right back and for me doesn't really suit the number 3 normally attributed to a left back. He can also play right midfield/right wing back and his birthday is 5th November (ah bless) so for that reason I'm going to pre emptively assign him the number 5 shirt.

5 Heitor Rodrigues 20yo Internacional - €5 million deal

Ciaron Brown soon to be out of contract, able to sign a pre contract, we want him.. let's make it happen currently sporting the number 30 no reason to change that right now

30 Ciaron Brown 23yo Cardiff City - less than what McCarthy wanted

Bit of reverse shenanigans to go numbers 3 and 26 number 3

a left back, homegrown under 21 is is out of contract, at a club that is struggling or not offering what we can Championship stability with Premier League prospects. Lee Buchanan 20yo Left Back at Derby County is out of contract in the summer seems to be doing the business at Derby, no reason why he can't get on board the boro promotion machine. Sub £2m he's currently donning the number 26 shirt at Derby so there seems no reason to change that.. unless it was to shoehorn another excuse and reason to bring in another player. number 3 it is!

3 Lee Buchanan 20yo Derby County - less than £2m

Number 26? a striker to replace our fallen cult hero Sammy Ameobi a number 26, homegrown player under 21 available on a free transfer on even on a loan?

Well.. Folarin Balogun is currently Arsenal's number 26 not exactly setting the premier league on fire (Arsenal that is) and I imagine they will be looking to bolster their options in the January window possibly pushing Balogun further down the pecking order. playing hybrid role of half striker & half left winger sounds good to me.

26 Folarin Balogun 20yo (loan) Arsenal

Pretty impressive if I do say so myself (you're welcome) we can even throw in a few more for the local newspapers, troll boards & podcasts...

RW Jed Wallace 27yo Milwall - out of contract in the summer, often linked, former Newyddion Moneyball Pick

MF Joe Ralls 28yo Cardiff - another out of contract in the summer, another former Newyddion Moneyball pick AND a former Warnock player.

LW Cyle Larin 26yo Besiktas - you guessed it, out of contract in the summer.. previously linked

The lucky seven including three duff ones, add into the mix a fabricated argument with Kieran Scott, Ciaron Brown being 'Warnock's player and a failed attempt to get Sammy Ameobi de-registered to bring Cyle Larin in the final minutes of the window and that should just about do it!

Yep, still states Jan 31st.

I wonder if he's already agreed with us and will just join up at the end of the January window?

He was vvank against us like, but I won't hold it against him!
January 2021 tho?
Big Mick said he was out on contract in the summer. I thought he looked like one of Cardiff’s better players, they looked panicked and disjointed Ciaron was a bit all over the place but had a couple of nice moments. I could imagine Warnock being able to work his magic on the lad.

Who knows!

He'd be a decent addition for free. I wonder if big Mick leaving might soften the attitude towards accepting our low ball offer?

Seem to be a bit of wrangle between the old gaffer and the new boy over him.

I expect our new man to come out with some decent signings, but here is my suggestions , to get into the newydion list of lists !
Nearly All OOC 2022 so a bargain to be had.

Jarrod Branthwaite - Everton LCH Age 20
Kortney Hause - A Villa LCH age 26
Kristian Pedersen Brum LCH age 27
Daniel Gretarsson BFC LCH age 27
Alfie Mawson - Fulham RCH age 27
Tobias Figueiredo - Forest RCH Age 27
Jamie McGrath - St Mirren CM AM age 25
Tom Lawrence - Derby CM AM LW age 27
Lewis Ferguson - AFC - CM AM age 22
Josh Laurent - RFC - CM Age 25
Fraser Murray KFC - LM age 22
Festy Ebosele DCFC - RB RWB age 19
Callum Lang - Wigan - RW AM age 23
Luke McCormick - AFCW - AM CM age 22
Scott Twine - MKD - AM age 22
Jason Knight Derby - AM age 21
Siriki Dembele - Pboro AM LW RW CF age 25
Riley Mcgree - Brum AM CM age 23 OOC Jan
John Swift - Reading CM AM age 26
Anthony Scully - Lincoln RW AM age 22
Ryan Hardie - PAFC - CF age 24
Cole Stockton - Morecambe CF age 27.
Elijah Adabeyo - Luton CF age 24
Jordy Caicedo - CSKA Sofia CF age 24
That team would make top 6 , ( with a keeper )
Loans are more likely due to lack of funds I would think.
Nat Phillips not getting a game for LFC , he would be a great loan signing, as would
Ellis Simms , those would add physicality and quality on loan.

Loan Trevor Chalobah for CM / CH and that is it.
Dembele featured in my notebook posts 👍

Further to Neil's recent presser.. he's confirmed that he will be looking to bring in another 'physical striker' to help the lads up top..

I fear my prediction maybe a little off the scent with '26 Folarin Balogun 20yo (loan) Arsenal'

I think I'd like to change my guess (it wont be the last time) to: 5 Ellis Simm 20yo (loan) Everton - on the bench in the prem not getting his game

I'll stick with us bringing in left sided defender - 3 Ciaron Brown 23yo - Cardiff City

Some of the usual suspects to be mentioned:

Liam Delap 18yo -Man City - bottom of the pile, but now maybe not so much?
Josh Maja 22yo - Bordeaux - a back injury stopped him moving in the summer..
Cole Stockton 27yo - Morecombe - looking solid in league one.. cheap as chips?
Michael Smith 30yo - Rotherham - we were in and we might be again? (10 in 44)
Kieffer Moore 29yo - Cardiff - our number one target, loves a move.. might be up for another? (20 in 42)

'Daryl Dike' 21yo Orlando City - surely he belongs back in the championship? (9 in 19)

Keinan Davis Villa 👍😉
from the presser Warnock said that Keiran Scott will start looking at players pretty soon for the January window and although he'd prefer British based players .. whoever we bring in will be with an eye on the future.,, could be a suggestion of a premier league loan there (clutching at straws)

a good one for the FM/Transfermerkt/Wyscout boys and girls to search the South American markets after us bringing in Payero, missing out on Muniz and being linked with 'Heitor' Emi Buendia was the big success story at Norwich.. I'm sure that Keiran will be keen to find the next jewel/gem/diamond and we all know our Steve loves a South American..

Brazilian: Juninho & Emerson

Uruguayan: Cristhian Stuani and Gaston Ramirez

Argentinian: Martin Payero & ??!?!?!?!

Sticking with the squad comparison 2014/15 squad with our current 2021/22 squad..

Joe Lumley - Dimitrios Konstantopoulos
Anfernee Dijksteel - Ryan Fredericks
Grant Hall - Kenneth Omeruo
Dael Fry - Ben Gibson
Marcus Tavernier - Albert Adomah
Onel Hernández - Yanic Wildschut
Uche Ikpeazu - Kike
Martín Payero - Jelle Vossen
Andraž Šporar - Patrick Bamford
Marcus Browne - Jordan Jones
Toyosi Olusanya - Emmanuel Ledesma
Lee Peltier - Dean Whitehead
Jonny Howson - Adam Clayton
Paddy McNair - Daniel Ayala
Duncan Watmore - Lee Tomlin
Darnell Fisher - Damia
Sammy Ameobi - Mustapha Carayol
Sol Bamba - Jonathan Woodgate
James Léa Siliki - Adam Forshaw
Connor Malley - Miloš Veljković
Matt Crooks - Grant Leadbitter
Marc Bola - George Friend
Luke Daniels - Tomás Mejías
Dejan Stojanović - Jamal Blackman
Jeremy Sivi - James Husband
Isaiah Jones - Adam Reach
Brad James - Jason Steele
Josh Coburn - Luke Williams
Malik Dijksteel - Bradley Fewster
Cain Sykes - Richard Smallwood

January 2015 saw us bring in..

MF Adam Forshaw 23yo WIGAN
CB Fernando Amorebieta 29yo - loan FULHAM
RB Dwight Tiendallli 29yo -loan SWANSEA
CB Tomas Kalas 21yo - loan CHELSEA
AM Joao Morelli 18yo ITUANO

I've already sort of accounted for:

James Léa Siliki - Adam Forshaw

which would leave us with

RB Dwight Tiendallli 29yo -loan
CB Tomas Kalas 21yo - loan
AM Joao Morelli 18yo

We've got two loan spots still available and two squad places (for players over 21)
