I know a lot on here are fully aware of the situation regarding the crustacean die-off along the Teesside coastline, but for those who aren't aware or not completely up to speed, then I can highly recommend this Podcast from The Guardian that came out today.

It gives a clear, concise history of the whole story and brings everything up to date. Lots of local interviewees and the producer, who also presents the podcast, is a Hartlepool lad and it must be said, his accent is proper strong and he doesn't once hide it!

There's something very strange going on and there is definitely an attempt for the “least bad” explanation to have been pushed without a full and detailed investigation.

"..It gives a clear, concise history of the whole story and brings everything up to date.." TBH I always want a write up alongside (in stead of) a pod-cast or video - I can read so much quicker than having to give 53min & 33sec to be talked at.

I do think video & audio can really be a negative, too often.

Plenty of articles to read on the Tees Valley Monitor blog. It covered the story from the start so I'd recommend taking a look there if you'd prefer to read about it.
