The "Official" unofficial - Middlesbrough v "Aye Up Lad" Barnsley Match Thread.

Out of contract in a year, last chance to get a bit of cash back this summer. I was thinking his ex-international manager at Stoke may sniff around for him this summer.
He can go for me - he might be a nice lad, but he can always vacate his tied cottage for the influx of Pele`s and Ronaldo`s this summer! (y) :)

I always felt he lacked a bit of basic ABC - agility, balance, co-ordination. His running gait was poor also, very flat footed, I remember reading Alex Ferguson used to always look at the gait of a player before signing. You won't ever fix a poor one and it's the foundation of your athleticism and ability to get turn, sprint, and jump.

I always knew there was a reason I kept going round in circles!! (y)

Reading that Saville only has a year left I would say get rid of him. TBH I would probably say get rid is he had a 10year contract. Apart from about half a dozen games he has been woeful since he came here. Vastly overpriced but just get what we can for him now.

Our midfield is almost non existent ATM. Morsy obviously injured, Howson gone down the nick in last 6 weeks or so(don't know what Warnock saw in his performance yesterday. I have spoke to about half a dozen people today and they are thought he was average yesterday). Wing will probably go so we have a lot of changes need making. Not sure Hackney of Malley are ready to step up. Malley has had two spells on loan but only started 8 games in total. Probably more loan time for both.

We have a massive rebuilding job to do and I worry that with Warnock just staying another year its going to be a patch up job for someone to follow and start the whole process again the following year.

I hate the transfer window. Instead of a close knit squad fighting for glory, the loan big time charlies arrive and add nothing.
Agree with that, Johnson offered as much if not more pre Christmas than Bolasie and Kebanos have since January. That's probably helped contribute his fall out with Warnock!
