The "Official" unofficial - Middlesbrough v "Aye Up Lad" Barnsley Match Thread.

Sunderland lost 2-1, with Hull and Peterborough both winning that's automatic promotion back out of their hands.

Betinelli must have some form of Cantsavesh1t (pronounced cant-save-sh1t) it's a condition which can affect goalkeepers, and severely damage their performance. It can be compared to 'the yips', an expression used to describe apparent loss of fine motor skills without any explanation.

Its becoming a tough end/watch to the season if the truth be known. That said top half this season is most definitely better than last seasons relegation battle. How Barnsley are in the top 6 this season is baffling but, the league table doesn't lie so fair play to them. That of course doesn't say much about us after todays performance. Talking about the league table doesn't lie. I think Woodgate will be happy tonight. Surely he wont take Bournemouth up!!!. I think he might you know joking aside. What a season end that would be.

I been questioning Warnock since January not making the signing we badly needed. The blame lies with him and the players. Other season that not gone our fav sadly. Gibson needs to get rid of Warnock if next season is the same . He's an absolute dinosaur. Every player in the team is now just hoofing the ball anywhere. It's an insult to the modern game.

Britt won't be waddling around grinning at bad misses next year

Last Saturday Dwight Gayle - who some on here seem to want us to sign - were laughing at missing chances

I'm not comparing their abilities, but genuinely feel the 'grinning' is embarrassment
So while I'd criticise him for the misses I've never held that against him

To be honest, I've never digged him about about grinning before, I'm being a little facetious, purely because I can't wait for him to go. So I'll take back my grinning comment as unnecessary.

So.......

which of the kids gets the nod from the start against QPR?

I'd play Malley alongside Howson and Saville as a 3, they'll help him through the game, then Colburn with Watmore and Bolaise/NML as a front 3, again, get players near him to help him out.

Colburn might do ok against Dickie and Barbet, they're not huge, and not old wiley types. Could be a good opportunity

Even the 10 quid watching that pantomime could have been better spent!
That clown should never see another Boro Goal - net or set of goal-posts for me.
Sack him off.
Give Archer and one of the young lads a chance in the last 5 games.
Atr least its experience - dont care if we lose.
Why Archer, he'll be gone in 5 games? better to give Bryn a chance

To be honest mate - I was thinking during that "performance" just how would I rate Savilles contribution to the "team" since he arrived at the club? In my opinion I would give him a 6 [six] - because
* He is inconsistent
* Shows insight in patches, but rarely for a full 90 minutes.
* More often than not is late for the ball or a yard short for headers or tap-ins when hes practically on the goal line.
* His distribution, again, is inconsistent.
* Considering alternatives who may be available this summer - I wouldnt put him above average and for the money we paid out, I would mark him 4/10 on his end-of-contract report.

Likewise Fletcher: a good goal against West Brom and a few brief good "spells" [like sunshine during a hail storm] - hes no more than 4/10.

We shouldnt send the youth team out to get slaughtered - that will destroy the kids morale - but keep Howson, McNair, Hall, Bola on as the core. Old heads will keep the lid on high risk adventurism and inexperience [I`de hope].

UTMB  :(
