* The Unofficial "Official" "Wear-Tees Derby: Sunlun v Boro Match-Day Thread *

Well a disappointing performance. Given that, it was 2 poor refereeing decisions that cost us. The dive outside the box suckered the ref. Very disappointed the linesman didn't tell him any foul was outside, and it was very questionable as to whether it was a foul in the first place. Then they missed the knee in the back of chubas leg. Ah well.

There’s been some over reactions on this board this afternoon but I think this one probably wins it.

Judging a player who has had probably 30 mins of league game time for us! 🤦🏻‍♂️

The link up with Akpom for his chance before the end gives you some indication
I'd be starting Archer instead of Forss next game.

Shambolic performance if you don't match the opposition's desire you are going to lose where was the fight. We played the first half with the intensity of a friendly. Absolutely livid with that. I wouldn't mind they are not even that good.

Possibly our worst derby performance in my lifetime - and I've been going since 1980.
Looking forward to getting some players in and filling the obvious gaps.
(this isn't kneejerk after the result - even a blind man can see we need reinforcements)
In order of priority:
Striker/Number 9
Defensive midfielder
Goalkeeper (sick of being stressed by 'Mr Showbiz')
Right winger

The squad is thin and we've got rid of our high earners.
There is a play-off place up for grabs.

In Gibbo we trust.

Not sure the second decision, as bad as it was, cost us anything.

Game was long gone by then.

Can't really argue with result.
They had at least four good chances to our single one even before the sending off.
Just not at it today.

Crooks may not been answer up front but strikers need service which he didn’t get. Far to slow moving the ball with 11 eleven and only when we went down to 10 did start moving more quickly. The first half was like watching the game under Wilder slow and ponderous Howson/Hackney/McGree coming short and passing it straight back to the defender.

If he’s that good he’d be starting over the carthorse that is Crooks. I’d much rather develop a player like Hoppe than develop a Villa player
