Happy Friday to you all and hoping you have a fantastic weekend coming up. I'm currently in Dublin researching family history and so what better way to start the weekend than a lovely pint of my favourite drink Guinness.

In regards to music I was considering cheering a few of you up with some Daniel O'Donnell but thought better of it as I'd be chased from the board no doubt so instead, I shall start with a great track from Thin Lizzy.

Today I will be mostly listening to Lucy Dacus, having just bought a ticket to see her live next month, before schlepping over to Shepherd's Bush this evening to see Stewart Lee, despite a tube strike. As ever no booze, but I might swing by the Bush Theatre as their cafe does very good coffee.

Looking forward to some of this tonight

And some of this too:

Not sure I'll be partaking tonight, given I'm currently struck down with a lurgy (no, not that lurgy). But if you've ever wanted to see The Coolest Man In Rock sitting cross-legged, playing a q-chord on the stage of an arena in front of an enormous crowd while singing a brilliant version of a Simon & Garfunkel classic, then this is for you. Enjoy...

Off to see 'Big girls dont cry' at the Little Theater tonight @WeeGord, not sure what drinks are available, looking forward to the show

Nice! Enjoy Stewart Lee - just realised he's playing up here next year so thanks for the reminder.

A rare Friday night in for me, in the company of these guys:

With two new beers from what I humbly think is one of the best breweries in the country right now:

Sitting in a bar in Dublin drinking a pint of Orchard Thieves Cider, not a had drink to be fair.

There's some U2 on in the background - Beautiful Day, somewhat ironically given the storm in the UK.

Mind I've got to fly in it early tomorrow.morning to Newcastle so think it's going to be a pretty rough flight 😞

Happy Friday chaps. Just crappy cans of Heineken for me tonight. Enjoying this weather. I love a good storm. Probably going to watch a couple of horror movies later in the conservatory in the dark. The storm should make that a bit more creepy and atmospheric. Listening to a bit of Lali Puna at the moment. You'll all probably hate this:

Enjoy your evening fellas.

Nothing to drink for me tonight since it's an early start tomorrow. In the meantime here's the one from the album that everyone's been waiting for:
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.
Robert Plant was on TalkSport the other day and was a great listen. Mind you I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fan so he could pee through my letterbox and I'd applaud his accuracy in hitting the doormat and so I'm probably biased 😀
