* The "Welcome Back" to the new season. Boro v WBA. Match-day Thread *

Who is everyone?
I've given Watmore nothing but praise since the day he walked through the door, seen more positive posts on Watmore than negative
Apologies, just many people having a go at him today which I find unjustified. I agree he should not be a starter and is currently being asked to play a role that he’s not familiar with. He is however a good impact player coming off the bench as he has proved on numerous occasions.

He missed a guilt edged chance that would of gave us a crucial 2-0 lead. Any player would be criticised for that and he also cheaply gave the ball away which resulted in them equalising. It was a bad day for Watmore and fans are just calling it as it is.

Just back.
It was a fair start to the season.
We can see the gaping hole up front and its obvious that our Duncan is no front man.
It was possibly too early to send Forss on, but, like someone already posted - we have few options.
When Fry and McNair get back, it will free up the midfield a little more.
I thought Bola looked a bit bewildered at times - but it could have been the streamers and ticker tape - and the flag waving - in the south stand which obscured my vision.
All told, we look set - its just getting two more in up front and consolidating the team.(y)

*btw: I thought the team cart-horse actually played quite well [extremely surprised].

Who's that then?
I`l give you a clue. He`s spent over two thirds of his time away from the Riverside since he was brought in for £2,750,000 - has made 40 appearances scoring 5 goals. During his entire playing career he has spent more time out on loan than playing for his parent club.

I'm with you
