Anyone watched this on iPlayer? It’s ridiculous how much musical talent has come from that city.

All the obvious ones, but plenty I hadn’t realised.

on a separate but related note, I told my fiancé’s nan I like the Rolling Stones, so for 3 christmas’ in a row she’s bought me stone roses’ vinyl including two the same bless her. Not bad tbf to her.
I think it’s because im northern and she’s southern so presumes I mean the stone roses.

She's maybe trying to educate you - after all the Stone Roses are the better band

Just kidding BTW - Stones are/were a force of nature in their day and still going!

That program was recorded in 2008, watching Blossoms atm and just realised they’re from there to too.

would be interested to dig deeper into our own music history a bit deepe

Hahah very possible. Though it may just be the baileys whilst she’s Christmas shopping

Odd question maybe but did it feature take that? Williams aside they were pretty much a Manchester band and shows they even do manufactured pop better than anyone else if they want to!

For me The Hollies take a lot of beating.Best harmonies of any British group, comparable to the Beach Boys, great pop songs , longevity, they were a brilliant band. Still touring- only 2 original members

No it didn't .
I thought it was pushing it a bit including the Charlatans, even though they were associated with the Manchester scene they were from the midlands apart from the singer who was from Northwich.
