The mighty Boro travelled to 1st divison giants Man City for our FAC 3rd round cup tie, City were sitting in 2nd place in the league & one point behind leaders Man Utd, a very daunting task indeed

Boro gave agood account of themselves & were very unlucky tnot to have won the cup tie on the day
David Mills, along with Jim Platt, Willie Maddren, John Craggs & Stuey Boam making their FAC debut for Boro, scored his 4th goal o fthe season to put the mighty Boro one nil up

Franny Lee dived (cheated) in the box with 3 minutes remaining, dusted himself down & put City level to fight another day
