26th April seen the last fixture at Ayresome Park before, unbeknown to us, liquidation, when Millwall were our visitors in this must win 2nd division fixture, after 2 consecutive defeats on the road we need the 3 points to give us any hope of avoiding relegation to the 3rd division for only the 2nd time in our history
An attendance of 5,484 seen the mighty Boro finish off their home campaigne with thumping Millwall 3-0 & our biggest home win of the season with goals from, Peter Beagrie scoring his 2nd & final Boro goal on his final home Boro game, Bernie Slaven scored his 8th of the season when converting a penalty & Brian Laws with his 1st home Boro goal & 2nd in total to date & sadly, the final goal at Ayresome Park under the old erimus badge
One more fixture to play, away to Shrewsbury, win that & we'll stay up
