Yes, if possible, I would like his signature on a crd I have & my AP scrapbookPeter Clear in goal. I know Peter good lad had a few problems over the years but looked well last time I saw him between lockdowns. Like him a lot. He likes his music and we have a lot in common. He still gets to games with his son when he is able.
Few names on both sides I recognize there.
Erimus I might be imagining this but did you once ask me about getting some of your memorabilia signed by Peter.
Remind me again when we can get out and about and I will get in touch with him. I am friends with him on Facebook as well do should be easy to set up. He wasn't in Redcar last time I spoke with him but was coming through to go to match with his son. During the Tiers he was coming to watch away games in West 2. I know his sister as well so will be able to sort for you. Sorry I forgot before.Yes, if possible, I would like his signature on a crd I have & my AP scrapbook

Strangely enough-I think I was at this match!!! I lived near Birmingham at the time and remember going to watch the Boro reserves on a wintery Wednesday evening and it was in our Third Division season. Ex-Villa hero Brian Little was Reserve team coach, a fact remarked upon by the Villa fans, or at least those keen enough to watch a reserve match on a cold Wednesday night. What has thrown me is the team sheet-the night I went we had some Australian triallist, possibly Craig James (?) but I can't remember. He was useless anyway and Boro's interest went no further. He's not listed unless he's the " P James", which is explains my uncertainty as to whether it was the same match but the timing is spot on and I'm not that senile yet. We went 3-0 down quickly, with some of the Villa contingent shouting for a cricket or rugby score but I think we steadied it and it ended 3-1 or 3-2. It's just weird being reminded of a long forgotten episode in my Boro-supporting career!Aston Villa v the mighty Boro
3rd division Boro are still using a number of Billingham Synthnia players to make up our second team, with Villa playing a few future Boro players in their line up
