Time to say goodbye to Woodgate.

People suggesting George Friend are part of the problem. I love the bloke but come on, when are gonna stop being so amateur. It’s a big old world out there, the next manager of the boro has got to be the best available option. Not a current player who’s a bit clever and nearing retirement and likeable. Steve Gibson especially needs to open his eyes and see the bigger picture for once. His decision making is costing us time after time. I’m F***ing ***ed off at the moment. We’re a laughing stock.

I've not sagged off Pulis & won't start with Woodgate either, before Monk was brought in I advocated bringing in Warnock, i certainly think if we had of the the club, as a whole, would have been in a lot better position, both financially & player wise, IMHO mind

My concerns have always been with our off the field team and I've said before that Gibson will leave it too late when he does eventually make his decision.
People take any criticism of the way the club is run far too personally, but in my mind we need to have wholesale changes off the field in order to stop the malaise on it. We should be getting people into key roles such as recruitment, marketing and ticketing that will change the way we operate as it is pretty clear that those areas can all be improved.
If we just keep changing managers then they'll still be working against the same backdrop as those that have failed to deliver since Gibson absolutely gutted the club when he got rid of Aitor. Put aside your opinions of his football philosophy and you can't deny that under Aitor we actually looked and acted like a club with a plan. It wasn't the finished article in any way, but at least you could see the plan.
You could say that a spell in League One might allow our current off field setup to find its level and potentially shine, but in terms of the financial hit is it really worth risking it?

I have been going to the boro for 54 yrs. I have seen desperately poor teams and excellent teams. That’s the joy of following boro. However this team on paper is better than the position we are in or how we are playing. That can only be down to the manager and his coaching team. He has to go. If he stays we will be relegated. If we bring someone else in we may still be relegated but surely we have to try. Is Gibson even bothered? This feels so much like the Maddren yrs which ended in relegation.

Just 3 points off the bottom 3. We could be in there tomorrow if we lose and Wigan win.
This is a disgrace.

All of the other teams down the bottom are fighting and picking up points, except us. Wigan could easily get something tomorrow night, as could Stoke. I can’t see us getting a shot on target, let alone a goal.

I was being facetious btw in that given Gibson’s track record hell option Choose George next.
I wasn’t advising him seriously.
Sorry I didn’t make that clearer

Monk was fired because of suspected irregularities regarding transfers. It is alleged that the agent that was involved in the Assombolonga and other transfers was giving Monk a share of his commission. Case now awaiting judicial verdict.
