Today is still the phoney war

Let’s not have the usual histrionics and wailing if things don’t go well today as it like the other few weeks I’d still the phoney war and is part of carricks preparations for the real stuff next week.

Looking at squads yesterday and most if not all of the play offs sides made huge changes ( one changed 8 players) as they knew they were already secured their spot.

Let’s get today done regardless of the score and focus on the play offs.

Let’s not take any silly risks today.

Today feels very strange, the game has little or no relevance on the outcome of the season. but I have to agree with Boro999 a win would being back confidence after two defeats. What ever the score we can not pick any more injuries.

That’s my point injuries are the key today. If fry isn’t 100% don’t risk him same with others.

We don’t “need” anything as we are already through.

Look at derby yesterday. We’ve done the had bit in this league now it’s about the play offs.

Yes, good way to describe it.

I can’t wait until it’s over really because these last couple of games have been less than full throttle.

The result today will decide who we play in the play-offs.

People are kidding themselves if they don't think that potentially going in to the play-offs on the back of 3 straight defeats isn't going to impact the team.

Go for the win today, get the confidence back and go in Sunday with a bounce in our step.

If we lose today then cov have the double over us and we have to go to their ground next week and may lose again…..that’s all very 87-88 season Bradford for me, we lost twice in the league and again in play off first leg, but won the fourth and most important game. When the chips are down we will blow them away at the riverside to get through. Of that I’m confident.

As it’s not been the first 11 it means nothing.

We saw the real side when we played Luton off the park, we’re you worried then ???

The team against Rotherham was the strongest side we had available.

We were very disjointed even before the sending off and only had one big chance in the entire match and it was a very early one.

We didn't see the real side against Luton either, as in your own words, it's not the first 11 so it means nothing.

There's also no guarantees that the injured players will be available on Sunday.

Today matters.
The performance today matters.

The result today won't decide whether we win the play-offs or not, but it will 100% impact the confidence of the squad going in to them.

I disagree this side through carrick know exactly how good they are.

Rotherham like today was limbo land don’t get injured is key.

No we don’t.

we don’t NEED anything

We are in the play offs even if we lose 10 nil
You aren’t looking at the bigger picture, we can’t go into the play offs with a few defeats on the bounce and expect to be firing. We need to play well and win today.

I was thinking the same over the weekend. Bradford had a really good team with Hendrie and McCall amongst others. We prevailed, thanks to Slaven and Hamilton. My favourite game at AP.

Back to today, no injuries and definitely, date I say red cards. UTB.
