Tonights movie - The Black Phone

Ah good old family entertainment. Severe violence involving young teens. “There are scenes of brutal, bloody bullying, including bashing a head with a rock, use of a switchblade, punching, kicking, martial arts, and face-punching”. Marvellous but sadly not for me.

Strange comment as I don't think anyone would describe this as family entertainment. The violence you mentioned is mainly school bullying and fights which was how I remember life at my junior and senior school time in the 1980's.

Watched this last year and really enjoyed it, maybe because most 2021-22 movies were awful,
However watched it again last night on sky, and it didn't have the same effect.

Watched the latest Boston Strangler movie with Keira Knightley, not bad for a 2023 movie, guess the snowflakes, can't change the facts of this true story.

Yep that's how I remember my school and I went to Warsett in quiet East Cleveland, the switch blades all appeared after a school trip to France.

I was being sarcastic Brian with that comment by the way. 😉

From IMDb

The paperboy is a reference to Johnny Gosch, a paperboy from Iowa who was on a route with his dog Gretchen and disappeared. His dog was found later, but Johnny's disappearance remains unsolved to this day.
