Wow.

Nick Tolhurst is good, so I anticipate all this is true. The corruption around Brexit is astonishing. Talk about 'look over there..'
 
Regardless of party, any MP found fiddling expenses or inappropriate conduct (financial or otherwise) should be booted out of office and barred from ever running for office again.

No hiding behind the 'they are all at it' routine. They are defrauding voters, thieving money from your pocket. They are scum.
 
When Starmer was head of the DPP he prosecuted three Labour and one Tory MP and also Chris Huhne who was a Cabinet Minister.

HE's now claiming that his wifes suicide earlier this year was because of the inquiry into his behaviour, maybe he should look at the stress his corruption created on his wife rather than talk of a 'spanish inquisition' and 'fishing expedition'. Of course at the time she sadly died he didn't mention any of this and blamed it on depression about lockdown. The guy appears a horrible sociopath, to try and use his loss to discredit the findings about his own corrupt behaviour.

Provides interesting insights into how this "consulting" business is managed. Not having a contract does seem a tad odd - definitely smells fishy.

I also find interesting the fact the BBC article on the topic doesn't mention the contaminated meat and milk Paterson was trying to get sorted. Or the fact one year later there will still problems with contamination. Surely anyone with a brain would have gone public and screwed the companies and the FSA. That's the real scandal.

absolutely, as a widower this is really important to me, tells me a lot about his character. The only thing I have 'used' my wife's death for, is to raise money for the hospice that looked after her in her final days. I absolutely would not use it save my own skin. I don't use the word abhorrent lightly, but I can't think of a more fitting term for him.

What an unpleasant man this Owen Paterson seems to be

Pro Brexit, Swinton Group member that opposes black immigration, pro fox hunting, pro fracking, climate change denier who once claimed global warming would help northerners stay alive from the cold, pro capital punishment, uses his wife‘s suicide as a political weapon and a serial breacher of parliamentary standards by taking cash for questions.
