Trigger Point

Doesn’t help with the ad breaks, although maybe it does as I get more entertainment from scrolling through this board than watching this. Major disappointment!

Was really looking forward to this but was very disappointed, so many flaws, still jumped a mile at the ending, only time I wasn't expecting it 🤣🤣🤣. Will give it another go next week to see if it gets better though as the first episodes of a lot of new dramas are about introducing you to characters, setting up storylines etc.

So many points i picked up on. Why take off your protective helmet and goggles when approaching a bomb ? The bloke who was in the boot took his hood off when asked, why didnt he just remove it when locked in the boot ? Why didnt the bomb go off when the first phone rang ? etc etc.

It’s also the the stupid little comments made to each other for no reason other than just to add dialogue.
The beauty of LOD was nothing was said as a filler it was all part of the drama, even the interaction between characters when it wasn’t part of the drama (expect of course the over use of the word mate!!!)

They were advised to take helmets off by the technical advisor… he said if a bomb goes off that close it’s not going to do you any good and hinders vision…

I think adrian lester who got blown up at the end had a lucky escape.. you’d think he would’ve learnt after the dreadful Vigil series …

the bit that made me laugh was him tracing that trip switch she made all the way back then cut through both wires which would’ve made the circuit anyway…

Vigil was dog dirt, wasn't it?

Good jump at the end but a bit of a ropey first episode, I'll give it another go because it has Jed Mercurio's name on it.

A little predictable at the end. Would the police really remove the cordon when they were still running checks on something? And yes, the ad breaks didn't help the flow at all. Hard to build and maintain tension.

Would the police really remove the cordon when they were still running checks on something? My Mrs said this too. Very disappointed with it tbh. Was looking forward to it, but it was very...well... meh.

Will stick with it for another week and see if it improves.

I was struggling to stay with it. At one point I thought, thank heavens, the boss is on his way, racing to the scene, wearing proper ppe. The missus educated me that it was an ad break, an Avanti ad, the one with the roller skating tortoise. Much better plot than Trigger Plonk 'mate'.
Pass me my snips so I can take a look at this suspect van.
Try door handles on a suspect car before taking a torch to find wires underneath.
Let me flick the lightswitch in a bomb making factory. FFS - I was hoping Peter Kay might burst out of the wardrobe with his 'Big Light' sketch.
Comedy gold - but I won't be watching it again.
