I think folks take vaccinations for granted it seems like a lot do not trust the government either and some think there is some kind of ulterior motive behind the vaccine.

They trusted them enough to vote them in.. but now would rather risk their lives than take medical advice/recommendation just in case it’s some worldwide conspiracy plot!

If anything the government want people back at work as soon as possible and don’t want to be paying out for medical care.
 
trying to have a discussion with an anti vaxxer is by and large a waste of your time. Just ask them what piece of data or evidence they would need to see in order for them to change their mind.

There almost certainly wont be one.
 
Apart from the obvious risks to themselves, the NHS is going to be on its knees again this winter, causing further beds to be taken up because you wouldn’t take a vaccine seems beyond selfish to me
 
Was talking to a nurse who work in the respiratory dept at Darlington Memorial this weekend and she said they’ve got loads of young people in with Covid problems, none of them vaccinated. I know ‘loads’ isn’t a precise stat, but it’s a serious concern.

I'm sorry this is where false equivalence is dangerous. The massed body of scientific opinion and the empirical evidence showing in the recorded statistics is clear evidence that being vaccinated is a huge advantage at preventing you catching the virus and if you do massively reducing the chances of you ending up in hospital and virtually eliminating the chance of it killing you. The fact that some numpty on the the internet or the occasional scientist might have a cautionary tale is not a balance of opinion.

It`s easy to dismiss someone else's decision if you don`t understand the challenges they face in their day to day lives

Fortunately NYS have more sense than you - they have removed the religious exemption for those who work in the health sector and anyone who is fired for not getting vaccinated will not be eligible for unemployment benefit. I only wish our own government would do the same.

The CDC are a Federal Agency. They are not a private company.

Why post something that is incorrect and then pretend that others are putting out propaganda?

they're a quasi government agency, who take no funding from the govt

maybe edit your post Bear or take it down. I doubt if you'll apologise
