VACCINE ESTIMATE

The procurement or distribution of vaccines should not in my view be seen as equivalent of normal commerce. Therefore, I dont agree with being able to 'jump the queue' so to speak based on financial ability. It just doesn't sit well with me morally. Maybe one day, but the priority for now must remain that of vaccinating as many as possible in order of vulnerability
That's what I'm saying.
Governments will get the supplies first followed by private companies afterwards.

In fact I would not at all be surprised if for example the leaders of various countries and other critical members of those governments have already had the vaccine.

I get that, but private sales should be a long way down the line. I've had a vaccine because of my job and there is a perfectly valid reason that critical members of govts also get vaccinated sooner than Joe public. However, to allow private sales/opportunity to get a vaccine privately would destabilise and damage the work being done now, its just not the right time for that approach

My brother-in-law received it yesterday.

He's only in priority group 8 but there was supply going spare and metaporically speaking he was 'dragged in off the street' to receive it.

This is the sort of approach I welcome.
