Vaping in the stadium

in fairness I'm sure the Pop corn issue was either addressed by outlawing that type of vape or it was debunked
I am not familiar with this Muniz, where did you read this? I accept that it's difficult to seperate existing conditions reached by smoking, with subsequent damage done by vaping, so not sure how this could be debunked.

I am not calling you a liar, of course, just want to look at that evidence myself.

Noticed barely any police inside the ground recently. Guessing it’s far cheaper for the club to provide stewards
think its more if the police deterimine the fixture requires it or not rather than the club having a choice, if they have a choice I guess they will always go with their own security

found it with a quick google

I think its easier to get into as kids as well, before when I was a kid you had to buy ya own or bum a quarter/half a fag off someone who had their own, with vapes its so easy to just pass it around as dont matter if ya mates have several hits when you get a big bottle that takes a while to burn through anyways, from speaking with my own kids most them and their friends are not into smoking and never like it unless its smoking weed

It is Mart. The only thing I would say, and it is speculative, are they vaping when they would have smoked had vapes not been available? Maybe some, but not all. On a wider issue, where the hell are 11 year olds getting them from.
I suspect that with cigarette's falling in general even before the popularisation of vapes, that a large number of kids wouldn't have had cigarettes instead

if it was conducted by the tories that study is 200% accurate
I suspect it was commissioned rather than done by them. There are supporting studies that, whilst substantially different, do support that it is unusual to vape without ever smoking first.

I accept that it will become more and more the case that younger people vape without smoking over time. The real question should be, is the number of young people vaping more or less than the number who, reasonably, would have started smoking anyway.

Thanks for the googled article, I'll have a read of it.

I would tend to agree as vaping is seen as being cool, however, I don't know.

Hello - just had this through from Middlesbrough Football Club - this is the stance of EFL and Boro on vaping and what to do if you see anyone vaping in the stadium.#

Tickets for wembley yesterday had a number you could text to point out anti-social behaviour including racism, violence and smoking/vaping.

The message would then be picked up by the stewards who would monitor then deal with it. It works.

I regularly walk across the park outside the sixth form college - full of kids vaping and, as a sixth form college, they're obviously not all 18.

Cheers Rob. Along with the message on thr big screen. There should be a mobile number to text to report saves someone approaching the steward direct.
I think there is a mobile number to report any issues in the stadium. Anyone know what it is.

Not sure vaping is same as someone smoking, but if its banned its banned and people should follow the rules. You get the little disposable vapes that give off hardly any vapour, then you have the massive chargeable ones that look like a steam train and the 'smoke' seems to linger but still, i'd sooner sit surrounded by 1000 people vaping than 1 person smoking, the smell of that is absolutely horrendous nevermind the effects of passive smoking.

Still, rules are rules and if people can't hang about til HT for a vape/cigarette they shouldn't be coming to the football unfortunately. Not sure they'd vape/smoke in the cinema or during their kids school play? I haven't seen anyone drinking in the stands for a long time but personally i think they'll introduce some new rules/regulations on the sale of alcohol at the football soon surrounding something like no sales 10-15mins before KO, no sales at HT etc to try to keep that risk down, clubs won't like it but i feel the authorities are going to head down that route.
Some people like a good old moan. Thats all it is.

I’ve done a couple of mortgages with headteachers who both agreed that vaping is a massive problems for schools and is acting as a gateway to cigarettes
