It probably should, I agree. But is anyone surprised that a minority will interpret rules to their own benefit.Aye but your own good judgement should tell you it’s not right.

That was exactly the same argument that happened with smoking....and pubs just allowed smoking and we had to put up with that crap in our lungs. It's nonsense, it needs sorting. We've gone from pubs that stink like an ashtray to ones that were pleasant, now, we've regressed to ones that stink like a sweet factory. It's a backwards step to appease the vocal minority. It's improper because there is a rule that forbids it. Plenty of pubs do allow vaping. You paid your money and makes your choice.

Not sure what your point is. Right now it is not illegal to vape in a pub, landlords can make their own decision. Plenty of pubs don't allow vaping. You have the choice too. Exercise it.same argument that people made with smoking

Just out of interest which pubs in boro do allow vaping, I don't actually think I know any, albeit I don't go out as much as I used to.Not sure what your point is. I live down south Andy. In the village I live in we have 3 pubs and a members club. 2 of the 4 allow vaping inside.Just out of interest which pubs in boro do allow vaping, I don't actually think I know any, albeit I don't go out as much as I used to.
Probably more likely to allow that in village-type pubs I expect, although saying that, in ours there are two pubs and neither allow it.I live down south Andy. In the village I live in we have 3 pubs and a members club. 2 of the 4 allow vaping inside.
I think this is quite unusual though.
The two that allow it tends to be a younger crowd who are a bit more relaxed and non judgemental. The club, which doesn't allow vaping is full of old folks, but it's cheap as its nfp.Probably more likely to allow that in village-type pubs I expect, although saying that, in ours there are two pubs and neither allow it.
Looked more to me like he was hit with a set of three stacked plastic pint pots.injury to sampdoria player after vape thrown.
Just ban the things from every stadium (vapes and West Ham fans)

Plastic pint glasses aren’t going to gash your head open, surely?Looked more to me like he was hit with a set of three stacked plastic pint pots.

Someone did pick up a vape though.

Eh? Ah, sampdoria, meant fiorentina, always muddled those two up for no apparent reasonPrague to Genoa is some throw, must have gained some velocity.
I think they looked like those rigid kind, not the flimsy crap we get at the boro ground.Plastic pint glasses aren’t going to gash your head open, surely?
Anyway vape was used as a weapon and they’re not allowed to be used in the stadium so just ban them from being taken in
I agree we should also ban people from brining coins into the groundI think they looked like those rigid kind, not the flimsy crap we get at the boro ground.
But stack a few of any up, with a bit of liquid between a couple of the layers of pint pots and they can move quite quickly, and the impact become sharp etc.
If banning vapes, then what about coins (they have caused hundreds of issues), lighters (about same wight as an elf bar), or anything heavy or metallic? I would like them to actually ban coins mind, would mean getting served at the bar quicker!
If you stop people taking vapes, then they will basically have to stop taking them out on a match day (not like the club would supply secure storage), which means no vaping when drinking, the good devices are expensive and disposables don't cut it for some, it would put a lot of people off actually going.
Sadly I did have an asthma attack after being surrounded by vape doyles for 5 hours at the Riverside on Monday. I havent had an asthma attack in years but being in close proximity to a bunch of people puffing out a load of toxic chemicals and whatever else is in them had a really detrimental effect on me. Vaping is awful, as is smoking. The Aussies have got this one right as far as their legislation on vaping goes.Your memory is going if you think it’s remotely as bad as smoking from a third party perspective. I used to come home from the pub feeling filthy and smelling rank. I’ve never had any lasting effects from the plumes of nonsense these people give off. Nor is there any evidence or even suggested mechanism for third party risk. It’s still selfish though.
The rest of it is objectively and empirically provable by population and epidemiological evidence. And as nicotine use via both modes continues to fall it only requires vapes to be safer not safe for it to be unambiguously a good thing. Which no one seriously doubts. It is evidently mental from a public health perspective to do what the Aussies are doing and restrict the safer alternative more.
Let’s see if they say the same in 5-10 years, I reckon they probably wouldn’t.Ask an a & e doctor which is more anti social. Excessive alcohol consumption causes more problems than the annoyance of someone vaping but we don't call for a ban on alcohol.
To many people tolerance is based on what they like not the facts
