He played more than 30 minutes twice last season and was decent in both games.

The poor back header against Bristol City within 30 seconds of being brought on should not be what his career is judged on.

In his 25 games the season he played well initially on loan before a run of poor form.

He also had a decent season as a back up for a team that promoted the year before that.

As 5th choice I think that is par

Because we have 2 top draw 1 decent and the other 2 are league 1 standard at best. You need 4 good centrebacks. Hunt and edmundson are not even good enough as cover
 
Yep, two players for every position (assuming we're playing a four man defence).

Admittedly we can count Edmundson in the current four but I'm fairly certain he'll either be sold or training with the reserves.

Edmundson gets a very tough ride, another unfortunate with injury, he was outstanding at times when he played last season. Saints away he was brilliant until he went off injured.

I expect Edmondson to leave.
If he wants an option of a back 3 then for CBs (including an inexperienced one) probably isn't enough.
It doesn't really matter if a LB is priority or not, players will arrive in the order deals are agreed

Borges has been featuring heavily in the media photos from the club, but Burgzorg hasn't featured at all.... so maybe Borges is an option. He had a good season at Bristol.

Malanda - Jones - Borges as a back three. Ayling can cover all three positions.
Archie Baptiste could make the step up too. He'll be 21 in October.

What’s the story behind Harley Hunt’s suspect attitude? All I know about him is he came highly rated, but has been injured a lot.

Just don't see him fitting the system. We want centre halves are first and foremost ball players.

Is this a bad joke. Edmundson is dross. Hunt was injured most of last season. Jones maybe fit now but has to get back to his previous standard.
