Warnock out brigade - Sense of entitlement?

Just putting a question out there and I'll put my tin hat on and take the pelters if necessary.

Do the fans who are saying Warnock should be sacked now potentially have a similar mentality to the twerps who are probably currently in queues, with jerry cans at the ready??

Why does the thirst for instant success sometimes result in bile and over the top for demands for action?

We are Boro, as a fan in early mid 40's; I'm still at an age where I've probably experienced more lows than highs as boro fan and my god there have been some high's in my time. The years of low's make those halcyon days taste all the more sweeter.

Are we playing good football right now? No
Have we showed very short glimmers this year of some good stuff? Yes
Is it good enough no?
Is it reasonable to expect with such a vast turnaround of players, including some 'outside the box' signings to bed in after a few weeks? Possibly not in my opinion.

Neil Warnock may be a man who possesses qualities that are perhaps not as relevant in the championship today as they were five years ago in an environment increasingly influenced by parachute payments and £££££.

Did this man step in during extremely difficult circumstances amidst covid and show passion, humour and dignity to lift us all and save us from potential disaster? Yes - fact!

Does he deserve us to stick with him a little longer to give him the opportunity to see if he can improve this squad? yes, in my opinion

two play off campaigns and 1 promotion in approx 12 years. Managers, players and have come and gone. Millions squandered.

Does a character like Warnock, who has given a lot to the game in this country, deserve the chance to have his last hurrah unfold?

As long as this doesn't look like we're heading near the drop zone and the behind the scenes planning can go on for the future, I'm with him.....for now

This.

We needed a rebuild and not just in the playing department, but if you look at the players we lost in the summer it was never going to be easy and it was always unlikely that we would be challenging for promotion and by and large those now calling for Warnock to "fall on his sword" are guilty of having inflated expectations.

Steady lads.

No it's not entitlement at all. Most clubs in this league are operating under difficult circumstances. What we lack are the basics that you would expect Warnock to provide - organisation and motivation. This is a big concern.

I could careless about his last hurrah

And we ARE heading for the drop zone or do think losing to Blackpool and reading is good form

The two very things that he has made living from for 44 years

Completely agree. Too many fans with short termism who want to ditch the manager after a few bumps in the road, assuming that by changing him will result in miraculously better results.

In Warnock we trust..!

So the fans disgruntled at a season slipping from our grasp with no plan or any form
Of tactics or game plan.

Are

The same as people panic buying fuel putting this country into a crisis

Or have I missed something
Like I say just a question comparing the sense of entitlement?

How long do we bump along until Sugar-Candy Mountain appears on the horizon?
For me, patience is wearing a bit thin - and Im the one who thought Pulis deserved a chance!!!! [Please forgive me]

The important thing is the first team and the general well-being of the football club. If he is not going to be here next year and we are going backwards what would be gained by the status quo remaining?

His post match comments are becoming tedious and annoying.

I hope we win tomorrow and we have a fantastic remaining season under him. He did a great job in keeping us up after the Woodgate appointment but that doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice this season.

The majority of people shouting for Warnock to go now will be the same ones shouting for the new manager to go in 6 months time when he hasn't turned things around.

9 games into the season is far too early to be panicking but given that what ever happens NW won't be here next season a new manager being in place for the January transfer window would be sensible if things haven't improved.

1 pt per game is bad though isn't it. Firmly heading for a relegation battle right now. I've not seen us in the flesh this season so can't comment too much, but unless we hit a run of form in the next half a dozen games you'd have to be looking at changing things.

I wouldn't just chuck anyone in, and it may be that we have to have another season of surviving and cutting our cloth, but if we had the chance for someone like Howe then I'd be all for it.

This. The scenario is that the current manager is not part of the long term He is going anyway in 7 months time. It would hardly rock the boat if this malaise continues for another few months that we say let’s get the next man in earlier than next Summer. I’ve always said though that I think we should judge whether Warnock’s “hurrah season” is going to work by the end of October so waiting another few games won’t make any difference. We are not going to be challenging for a play off spot now sadly and our form may pick up.
