Warnock out brigade - Sense of entitlement?

Let's be honest here, the results have been pretty awful going back to the second half of last season. He's had this summer to address the faults in the squad and for me, we actually look weaker.

We've barely any cover at FB/WB, our GK situation is a concern, our midfield lacks any bite whatsoever and is so pedestrian it's unreal, the centre of our defence is conceding at an alarming rate, our strikers work hard but don't look like troubling double figures right now. The only area we seem slightly improved is out wide.

Maybe the imbalances in the squad aren't entirely down to Warnock, with the new Director of Football pulling a few strings behind the scenes, but at the end of the day when it comes to poor form the buck has always stopped with the manager. He is in charge of what happens on the pitch, and we are severely lacking out there right now. We have no shape, tactically we seem all at sea, there's no leadership on the pitch or coming from the sidelines, we can't control a game to save our lives, we are shambolic at set-pieces both defensively and offensively, the substitutions are at times baffling. I could go on!

I had no axe to grind with Warnock whatsoever till we hit the 10 game marker this season. It became clear that right now we are going backwards alarmingly in spite of this summer's exciting at the time recruitment drive.

Some fair points there bevoboro, well put. Do you think rediscovering what we saw at Blackburn would be attainable?

Just a few short weeks ago Warnock had instilled a sense of excitement and with players coming in left right and centre the new air of optimism bristled through this Board. And it’s taken just a short while for this optimism to fade, with a sudden realisation this isn’t the exciting season we once anticipated.

Its beginning to look like there are rapidly dwindling numbers of those who still have faith in Warnock at the helm. This will continue if results and performances repeat the one we saw on Saturday, at home to Blackpool and at Coventry and for the majority of the latter part of last season.
Yeah, I’m in this camp, rapidly dwindling. The deflection off the pitch is become tiresome and more and more noticeable, and I don’t think it can be put down to fans demanding instant success when the managers had three transfer windows and two years. We’ve been poor since January and desperate this season.

It’s nothing personal, if we’re ***** on the pitch and confusing off it then I’ll slag the manager, if we’re bossing it then I’ll support him. I’m fickle like that.

Yes but it's not happening now so that's the reality that we need to deal with
Agree, most of the last few games have been bad. I'd say the motivation and to some degree, organisation was there at forest. That was 12 days ago.

The 2 factors you have brought up are the reason NW has been a success in the game. I believe he sets us up with the intention of being organised and he managed to motivate us last year.

You'd think that 3/4 of the new sig ings are the types that would react to his motivation usually.

I wonder if the 'last year' is an overriding factor

Sense of entitlement? Ridiculous.

The majority of people can see the obvious, which is a manager blaming everyone other than himself for the performances we’ve seen so far this season when we‘ve been comprehensively out played, out fought and beaten by Coventry, Reading, Blackpool and QPR.

What we want is a manager that gets the best out of his players, rather than castigate a select few whilst others get away with it.

A manager who doesn’t behave like a petulant child on the sidelines, and blame referees for his inadequacy.

A manager who doesn’t make snide, divisive comments about the clubs bringing in players he doesn’t want, and rather focuses on the support he has been given (remember his comments about “Steve“ when he first joined).

Entitlement? Nah, honesty, integrity and ability to apologise when he gets things wrong - thats what we want.

Completely agree. Too many fans with short termism who want to ditch the manager after a few bumps in the road, assuming that by changing him will result in miraculously better results.

In Warnock we trust..!
A few bumps in the road? We have won 11 games since January
No one can make a valid claim to keep him on, we have shown zero signs of improvement and actually look to be going backwards.
We have a squad full of players he clearly doesn’t want, and has pretty much confirmed he won’t be playing our biggest summer signing

We are going nowhere this season so why not bring someone in who will actually improve these players

I'm not airbrushing anything - its a different team/squad this season and we've been unlucky with injuries so far.

9 games into a new season is too early to be pulling the trigger, as I said if things don't improve then pre the January transfer window is the time to do it.
Of course you are! You’re conveniently disregarding our form since January! Since then and the start of the new season has one common denominator- Warnock. Proving that despite many changes the results are not improving. That is a damning indictment of both the results and the only consistency shown is we are incapable of winning many matches.

I owe you an apology. Was harsh on you earlier in the season about Warnock but I’m with you now. It’s not good enough at all this. Needs to go

I think we have tried to make too many changes.

A lot of what has been brought in isnt an improvement on what has been shipped out.

We were desperate for strikers and a winger. We had Jones under our nose but then allowed spence, morsy, johnson to leave when it made more sense to keep them.

My desire is to see the players run through brick walls for a manager who cares. More often than not this is reflected in Warnock teams

Hardly none of this lot are running through brick walls for Warnock. That’s part of the problem

The season is a write off already. I'd rather they plan his replacement than appoint another stopgap/out of work dinosaur.
Yes, has anyone got Steve Agnew's number?

I'm sick of the short termism, I didn't want Warnock here but I was told that he was the man to get us to the PL. Look at all the promotions they said. He came and he stopped the rot under Woody. Fair enough. Last season playing to empty stadia we were awful after the New Year. But it was a strange season and there had hardly been a break from the previous season and all the other shizzle. I never liked the constant argy bargy with referees. "He says it like he see it" I was told.

The same people now want his head because we are failing to gel as a team...

He isn't the Messiah (he never was) but it would be utter stupidity to get rid of him now. Even if we appointed Pep Guardiola assisted by Sir Alex Ferguson and the ghost of Brian Clough backed by the spending power of the nation of Saudi Arabia we are never going to catch WBA, B'muff or Fulham. That's the truth, don't throw away next season by trying to salvage something from this one. Of course if we are still hanging round the rrse end of the division by Chrimbo then I'll be singing with the rest of you.

Until then, hold your fire.
