Not counting chickens as Coventry are a very good team but

Boro Vs Sunderland at Wembley in the richest game in world football.

This is what its about! The fans despite the rivalry it would be a great occasion the knuckle draggers would find each other of course but come on. This would be the biggest game in North East history.

Come on Sunderland and come on Boro.

Fk that

Seriously what is with this macken
Love in on here. It’s nauseating.

I only care about the boro I could care less about so called fellow north east teams that sing vile abusive songs at us.

Quite possibly the biggest game in the history of NE football unless the great unwashed from up the road have ever went head to head in the FA cup or last day if the season for the title. We win that and we are the champions of the north east and therefore its biggest club 😉

My gut feeling has been it's going to be a Boro/Sunderland final for some time now. To be honest, it would be a unique atmosphere. If we get through and play Luton the atmosphere would pale in comparison. Would Luton even sell out their allocation?

Of course the downside would be that there would be trouble before and after the game. Fans on both sides wouldn't be able to truly relax and would have to be on guard, although there will be plenty who will go looking for trouble.

We had been talking about making a weekend of it but my Dad is wary if it's going to be Sunderland, so we'll probably go on the supporters coach. Even then it could be a nightmare logistically. Are they really going to be able to prevent our coaches and theirs stopping at the same service stations for example?

Designated service stations would be the obvious answer with significant police presence at all of them, the battle for trafalgar Square would be interesting to sat the least 🤔

The very thought of the occasion bring spoiled by spotty kids and weird old men hanging around with them and fighting the same on the opposing side is possibly one of the most depressing and, at the same time, ridiculous prospects to consider. It really does spoil things.

Got a horrible feeling that these constant Wembley threads are gonna come back to bite us on the ****.

I’ve never understood the Trafalgar Sq thing but it seems North East supporters want to pay their homage to the great Admiral. If it turns out that the final is a Tees Wear Derby I wouldn’t set foot within 3 miles of Trafalgar Square.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it is Sunderland that the club try and enforce you to travel with offical coaches as part of the ticket sales. The police will want to curtail as much independent travel as possible. So i think both clubs will be pushed into providing coach travel direct to Wembley stadium to keep trouble out of the capital.

Pretty sure it'd be cordoned off.

Trafalger Square is old hat. Why would you want to do that when you could just go in a pub - not like londons short of em, just ask me i know em all

Luton took 42,000 to the Johnson's Paint Trophy final at Wembley in 2009. So yes, I think they would sell out their allocation for the play-offs final (y)
If we don't get past Coventry, then I hope Luton get promoted. It would be a unique fall in to non league, and rise back to the top division.
