Wembley Tonight: England v Germany thread. Is it all over for Southgate?

He's looked bright but his final ball has beeen poor. Should have scored as well after Shaw played him through.
I think he should have done better with the shot too, but he hit the target. A little more power and it goes under the keepers hand.

Sterling definitely should have done better with that chance just then.

We've been the better team but no goals to show for it.

A couple of concerns so far.

1. Not confident when Nick Pope has the ball at his feet

2. Reece James

Oh and the red strip seems to "blow out" the screen I'm watching on, like it was sort of reflective/high viz?

I like the strip

I agree about pope

James????

James just not effective going forward and not brilliant defensively either. If it was possible I'd ask Walker and James to swap?

I just think we’re missing that passion that we hopefully will see in the WC.. there’s some nice play Bellingham good again and sterling carrying on from his second gss as of performance… Kane dropping too deep to try to get the link up play but he’s doing it well.. I think golden needs to get his finger out.. defence going well so far..

All valid but I get the feeling Germany are not even out 2nd gear yet the way they are lining up on our box. Looking for the opening.

Germany don’t need to win this to prove anything.

I think I'd take off Foden and bring on Toney, try two strikers.

Kane is dropping so deep that he's basically playing as a midfielder anyway, he's rarely in the box when there's a break away, and I think Foden is contributing little tonight.
