raise those eyebrows!! fact is any in the play off places need to be capable of stringing 6 consecutive wins together. we haven’t done it yet, but we are capable of doing doing it.
what a time for all the pieces to fall into place! we haven’t had the rub of the green for so many games this season.
fancy popping into the playoffs on the back of 6 wins in a row, confidence high, nothing to lose and with bad luck/bad decisions surely all used up..

I applaud your enthusiasm and belief Newy . It’s a ding dong season to date throughout all league footy ( look at Baggies on Saturday ) so if we’re ever going to provide a bonkers climax it’s this season .

We're never going to reach the playoffs this season... good clear out in the summer, Gibson and Warnock will see us right and next season we can make a good attempt

If you read some of the other posts today and previously you’d think this season has been a total disaster. Considering we still have a mathematical chance of the playoffs, albeit unlikely with six games to go, and with a non scoring forward line I think all things considered, this hasn’t been as disastrous a season as a lot have muted. God, I’ve followed the Boro for over 50 years and I’ve witnessed far worse seasons than this, at least it looks like it’s going to keep us interested till the last game, then with a good pre season in the transfer market who knows?

The thing that tempers the optimism slightly is that having got the equaliser and in the ascendency we then went on to play for the draw.
IMO The only team in the top 7 that looks likely to drop 9 points from 18 is Swansea. We need two of them to do it, at the same time as us winning six on the bounce.

Barnsley are on course for a 78 point finish (include a boro win in that) take three points away from a boro win and you have a 75 point finish.IMO The only team in the top 7 that looks likely to drop 9 points from 18 is Swansea. Easiest thing in the world to say we will not win our last six games.. but it COULD happen.
Anfernee Dijksteel is a massive loss, but Darnel Fisher is superb
Dael Fry another massive loss, but Grant Hall is a total boyo
Marcus Tavernier is a fantasic player, but so is Yannick Bolasie
Sam Morsy another big miss, but Neskens Kebano is prem quality
Britt Assombalonga was our main man, give me Duncan Watmore any day of the week
Marcus Browne was ready to tear up the champo.. but so is Djed Spence..

Even if we win all six, we need multiple top six teams to drop half their available points in the run in.
I'm afraid that's not going to happen.
