That's just classic "whataboutery".In my time as a football supporter, since the early 80's going with my mates to Boro and knowing the ' bantz' around chants and who was doing what and who to, the mocking of United and the Munich tragedy by Liverpool has been relentless , I have sat in the Liverpool main stand in 88 when Boro went and many of the Liverpool scarves around me had a little Munichs written on them.
If I was a United fan I would need to know that they will will try to get them to stop the Munich chants and maybe some apology from Liverpool as club for their fans over the years, there is a lot of bitterness from United fans to LFC, and we all know the chanting is wrong by United fans regarding Hillsborough but where is the fairness for United fans , Liverpool fans have been relentless over the years even after their own trajedy.
= I'm just going to carry on being a d!ck until he/she/they stop being a d!ck. Which just gets what we have here an arms race of d!ckery. In my time as a football supporter, since the early 80's going with my mates to Boro and knowing the ' bantz' around chants and who was doing what and who to, the mocking of United and the Munich tragedy by Liverpool has been relentless , I have sat in the Liverpool main stand in 88 when Boro went and many of the Liverpool scarves around me had a little Munichs written on them.

But there is a point to this isn't there, before people can genuinely move on as an individual or a group they need some closure, it's not whataboutery because do we know for definite if United fans would have started using Hillsborough without the decades of Liverpool fans shithousery. I wouldn't say something about Hillsborough but I'm not in the middle of that antagonism/ hate between them, you can either have some big brother style stick coming down to sort them out, or the various fans groups can try to build bridges, I know what I prefer, and if that means Liverpool have to take it on the chin and hold their hands up for their role in this , even better because it is genuine. That's just classic "whataboutery".
Nobody should be making fun of either incident and just because some idiots persist in doing so then it should not in any way excuse this lad getting his just deserts.
It's about taking responsibility for their role in this. That is being grown up and mature.= I'm just going to carry on being a d!ck until he/she/they stop being a d!ck. Which just gets what we have here an arms race of d!ckery.
Are you serious? Nobody should be making fun of a tragedy, irrespective of what someone else may or may not do.But there is a point to this isn't there, before people can genuinely move on as an individual or a group they need some closure, it's not whataboutery because do we know for definite if United fans would have started using Hillsborough without the decades of Liverpool fans shithousery. Did I miss the joke or sarcasm?
No= I'm just going to carry on being a d!ck until he/she/they stop being a d!ck. Which just gets what we have here an arms race of d!ckery.
You missed that.If I was a United fan I would need to know that they will will try to get them to stop the Munich chants and maybe some apology from Liverpool as club for their fans over the years
and you missed that but hey please feel free to take the **** because you think I am saying both sides are ok. Don't worry I won't do a Whoosh I'm not a ****and we all know the chanting is wrong by United fans regarding Hillsborough but where is the fairness for United fans ,
Read the post, I'm trying to put the onus on Liverpool to stop it, they had decades of chanting about Munich before Man Utd got involved. Are you serious? Nobody should be making fun of a tragedy, irrespective of what someone else may or may not do.
The onus is ion the individuals. I'm sure it's discouraged and i'm sure most fans from both sides hate it.Read the post, I'm trying to put the onus on Liverpool to stop it, they had decades of chanting about Munich before Man Utd got involved.
So you’re saying that, in a match between two Manchester clubs, that it was the Liverpool fans who were to blame for this idiot’s behaviour?Read the post, I'm trying to put the onus on Liverpool to stop it, they had decades of chanting about Munich before Man Utd got involved.
No, you could also say in the match I sat in Liverpool's main stand against us in Oct//Nov 88 was it the fault of the people on that plane that crashed in Munich in 58 that Liverpool fans felt the need to get scarves with Munich on them, I know the answer but since you have thrown( mud) a version of it I put that one to you, I'm not sure you do?So you’re saying that, in a match between two Manchester clubs, that it was the Liverpool fans who were to blame for this idiot’s behaviour?
"I'm not racist, but"it's not about whataboutery, or Scouse blaming. But...
His identity is now out online (I won't share it here for obvious reasons). I'm sure you'll all be deeply shocked to learn he's a "Britain First" supporter who was previously convicted of assault after attacking someone in a row over asylum seekers.
We must all take responsibility for our own actions - at the end of the days that’s all that we can control. The past is the past I expect apologies will not be forthcoming from either side but that’s not an excuse for others to act this way!"I'm not racist, but"
It is exactly what you are doing. Schoolyard nonsense, "he started it miss"
The responsibility of the United fan is not to do the vile Hillsborough stuff. Not wait for an apology from Liverpool fans/club no matter how overdue you think it might be.
I want going to reply but your analogy took it to a new low so I had to respond. Really is that what you are about? ,you take it to lows, while at the same time talking about correct moral thinking, If I was you I would give it a miss, even if I am way off the mark and I will have a reflection on this later so who knows, I would avoid advising anyone what is correct or appropriate when you yourself have so little awareness or control over your own words, or at least I wouldn't hope you did it knowingly which we all know what you would be then !! , Maybe I upped it with my end remark on my counter reply but your incorrect Whoosh wasn't correct or deserved, but thanks for the Racist analogy given next to my comments,. Oh by the way what were you saying about not responding to dickery with counter dickery I would remember but it soundss hollow now, maybe one of us letting it go or or apologizing is the only way to get over issues like thisI'm not racist, but"
They have done. Over and over again. Pretty much every game between the clubs for the last few years has seen joint statements (either from the clubs or from fan groups) calling for an end to these chants from both sides.LFC fans need to take steps in this to close it and reach out to descent United fans.
But the fans themselves need to reach out and work for it, there where the problem started and where it will be resolved and I'm not saying Utd don't have to do anything their descent fans need to help this process. They have done. Over and over again. Pretty much every game between the clubs for the last few years has seen joint statements (either from the clubs or from fan groups) calling for an end to these chants from both sides.
You overstepped the mark at least once, and for what? I was holding a differing opinion, but the sly Racist analogy and implication is duly noted.Yes, time to put the spade down fella.
