What are your plans for tonight

We always have a quiet night in on a New Years Eve and will be welcoming it in with a two course meal.

For the starter, we are having coquilles St Jacques and a main course of pork chops in a creamy Dijon mustard sauce. All washed down with Florenbelle French white wine (the wife's favourite).

Music will be Betty Swann, Jerry Butler and no doubt The Boss at some point. We will finish the night with gin for me, and a French Mandarine Napoleon Liqueur (similar to Quantro but better) for the wife.

Whatever you are doing, stay safe and have a really good night.

Happy New Year to all of you and your loved ones.

Today's not really New Years eve for me, it's my partners birthday.
We've celebrated with Pizza Hut and the arcades before a bit of shopping at Teesside Park. Went for cake round the in laws, time to settle the kids shortly, watch something on the TV, 8 pack of Coca Cola, Bacon Sarny, see the new year in then off to bed.

Haven't gone out drinking In like 8 years and I'm thankful for it, to expensive and to rammed for my liking these days. I think I'm 48 not 28!

All the best to everyone no matter how you celebrate. Roll on 2nd January for another dose of Carrickball!

I’ve not done new years in quite a long time. Just not for me and don’t get the hype.

Putting the baby down now, then me and missus will have some wine and a cheeseboard with a few other nibbles.

Probably be in bed for 10-11. Then early wake up tomorrow morning to get the running gear on!

Have a good one folks!

Last night we had a steak barbecue on the beach in Paraparaumu. The sound of the sea gently lapping the shore as all along the beach small fires burned. Idyllic.

Spoilt ourselves previously by spending new year's eve in London, and another year we were in time Square in New York. Not trying to sound flash or owt but we tend to either do something outlandish or don't bother at all.
Quite happy to sit with the kids, the dog and the wife and watch Jools Holland later on with a bottle of malbec.
Oh, I've got an Aldi pizza for later as well. Stone baked chicken and ham (not the stuffed crust one), but I've bought some spicy pepperoni to add to it. I'll probably add some nandos hot perinaise sauce to it as well in case anyone was wandering.

Ive enjoyed this forum over the last 12 months or so since I stopped lurking and started posting. Boro fans are the best. I've had a laugh with some of you, disagreements, talked utter sh1the at times and learnt more than I knew I wanted to learn about the Ukraine war.

Stay honest fellow Boro fans and roll on an exciting '23. See you at the Riverside ⚽

Luckily we live next door to a vineyard owned by good friends of ours so went off down there, pot luck supper and some lovely glasses of wine with friends, walked back to the building site we call home through the vines with moon shining through, was lovely.

Have a,lovely new years Eve all wherever you are and please stay safe.
