Ucas points calculatorLack of people vaping every two seconds, customers having 20 plus UCAS points, lack of tattoos on arms, nice selection of real ales, a water feature/river etc, plenty of seats and toilet facilities. Bonus points for nice food and sky tv.
Hmm, that was my local for many a year, though their was no beer garden just benches out the front overlooking the river, was still nice on a warm day.I'm told the Devonport at Middleton One row has a nice beer garden now and we were going to give it a whirl this weekend but the good lady has come down with a virus so that's a no go. The place is more hotel / restaurant than out and out pub.
Spent a couple of hours watching Richmondshire lose to Normanby Hall yesterday, Richmond's ground is a lovely spot. Most local cricket grounds who have a decent bar. Plenty of space to watch the cricket with a pint and even better when the sun shines.

The Holly Hill Inn has a decent little beer garden over this way as well.Spent a couple of hours watching Richmondshire lose to Normanby Hall yesterday, Richmond's ground is a lovely spot.
Becoming (or has become) a Sainsburys local......Hmm, that was my local for many a year, though their was no beer garden just benches out the front overlooking the river, was still nice on a warm day.
The old farmhouse that way has a very good beer garden as well. Also what was the fighting cocks that became platform one though no idea if it’s reopened as it had closed down last time I visited old friends.
I'd start with Taddy's ale. Then there's the carpet, the curtains etc.Master Cooper, South facing, sun all day , Taddys ale, what's not to like?
I suppose it’s more just an outside space containing about half a dozen tables.I go in there sometimes, never seen the garden!
Yeah as above it's a Sainsburys thing now - gets a lot of trade from the new estates at that end of the village, well actually it should be called MiddleTOWN St George now - they simply don't know when to stop building. The old farmhouse that way has a very good beer garden as well. Yeah that estate was in phase one when I moved to Richmond. It was starting to lose its village feel then.Yeah as above it's a Sainsburys thing now - gets a lot of trade from the new estates at that end of the village, well actually it should be called MiddleTOWN St George now - they simply don't know when to stop building.
Remember the random plastic-tree-with-a-face climbing frame/tree house tucked away in the corner? The beer garden at the linthorpe hotel (Linny) use to be great. But I’m talking about 20+ years ago. Don’t know what it’s like now.
