When did the “home end” officially change?

Seems that the North Stand has lost its status and the “yung uns” in the south have been given the nod.

Sad times for us long-standing Northerners.
But most of all… it’s fecking confusing when shooting “the wrong way” in the first half (today was an exception).

Today proved that the North stand is still the true "home end". Once we start getting decent crowds back the atmosphere in the North will be back and we'll probably go back to attacking towards the north 1st half.

There can be little doubt that the South Stand is the main one. Having the away fans in the next stand is a massive benefit too. It spurs the Red Faction on. Especially when it's a big following like today.

It's sort of always felt like part of the reason to sit in the north, attacking that way in the 2nd half

Was interesting today that we warmed up in the 'wrong' end. I don't think we've done that before.

It was Forest who chose to swap ends and have us kicking to the North in the 2nd half.

Personally I think it's daft to change - does it happen anywhere else?

It ranks alongside not using the white band as a brand in terms of our small-time-ness.

Why did they move?
They wanted to be able to create an atmosphere like yesterday. I seem to remember lots of discussion about it on the previous board. I think it was Red Faction that got the club to agree with moving away fans too. The thinking was put Red Faction side by side with away fans and an atmosphere is created.

While I agree the red faction create a great atmosphere I just think it's wrong we've changed ends. How can we just suddenly do this after 25+ years of running out to the North Stand?
I think the lift it gives the team attacking the main atmosphere in the ground can’t be underestimated. Had the North not lost what it used to have, things wouldn’t have changed.
It didn’t matter yesterday but it did previously. Sometimes traditions change for the greater good.

But over the 90 minutes we attack both ends?
