Hmm, so our transfer dealings this summer - we've signed Blackburn's best player, Hull's standout defender, a defensive midfielder from France who looks a gem, a lad from the Dutch league who we don't know much about, and several young players. We've then sold a player we signed two years ago for €300,000 for €13,000,000.

Doesn't seem like a resigning matter......
 
is the club performing any better , pts per season etc than before he arrived?

Some of the players we have signed i could tell after 5 minutes they were not worth the money we paid, but i guess all these directors of football and chief scouts have some magical abilty
that others just can't posses

I mean, tradesman have skills, i have no idea how i would evaluate a scout or director of football, just blokes at the end of the day who have watched football, its not a skill or like they have to pass an exam
and i have no idea what the exam questions would be

C. technical and quick but lacking workrate

Etc etc

Technicality and mobility is god in my opinion, you can motivate a technically good and quick player to press and work hard, you can't make a technically weak , slow footballer technically better or quicker , regardless of motivation
 
Ffs, he’s identified good players we’ve made a sizeable return on. I liked Carrick a lot but he was a poor manager.
We will make additions and improve.
Last nights result was appalling and it won’t be the last sub par performance but we will improve on last season.

Can you recommend any technically brilliant quick and strong players we could sign for a couple of mill?

That really is a silly post.
Who we can attract versus who we go for is always different….
We will just have to wait and watch how things develop.
My concern is Edward’s has a formation he likes but good managers look at the player profile and it shapes how to get the best of the group
I hope to god he is considering a reassessment of the formation as he watches the weakest front line in the league potentially….
