Can’t remember the last time I watched a MOTD never mind a full episode of it. Probably a combination of Boro getting relegated 10 years ago and the introduction of Sky Sports/BT uploading highlights to YouTube.

I didn't even know there was such a channel or show! Mind you having just looked they only started showing the highlights from 2018-19 season.

Is that right? What channel was it on after BBC? I remember they had a live studio and a wooden table... think that was enough for me to tune out haha.

They really need to have a go at making football focus less ****. They could start by banning interviews with footballers. It's very rare for them to have anything interesting to say, and if they do it'll be coached out of them.
 
Footy Focus has just turned into a patronising, preachy, propaganda spinning machine rather than actually talking about football. Let's speak to this lesbian fan about when someone called her a lesbian at a football game. What do you think about that Dion? I used to enjoy MOTD2 Extra on a Sunday noon. Decent footy program where they'd have journos like Henry Winter, Oliver Holt. Patrick Barclay on as well as a commentators and a few players. Better then anything the BBC do now and they binned it off.
 
Strange as it may seem to some of the above posters, I quite like the Football League show on Quest. Watch Premiership highlights on M.O.T.D and fast forward some of the punditry. Cancelled my Sky channels, because I will be watching more cricket live and of course the Boro at the Riverside. UTB
 
Alex Scott knows her stuff and is a capable presenter which is surely the two most important things for the role.
Her being a black woman shouldn't take any focus away from her earning the job on her ability.
I've not read any social media reaction to this announcement, but I'll be surprised if her gender and ethnicity aren't being brought up by some neanderthals lurking in the dark corners of twitter et al.

I've not watched it since the dawn of Sky. Its the same as MOTD. You can watch the goals well before 2230.

Good luck to Alex Scott but I don't care one bit as wont be watching.

I'm sure Jeff Stelling will be next😕
