Who`s up for Plymouth at Home Park nxt season?

Look out "Cross Country" - here we come!
It's our longest League journey, you are right we should join the clubs who treat such days as a party or a big day out. There was talk about a gentry type day for Boro fans, which should be at the Riverside, but that doesn't mean the exiles can't have one on the road as well. Plymouth would be perfect.it holds about 1600-1700 for away fans which would be enough.

Looking forward to Plymouth. I've got family in Cornwall so I'll make a mini-break of it.

Wonder how many points you'll need for a ticket? I'm guessing the "closed shop" might not be in operation for that one.

Haha....no one screaming that they can't get a ticket.😃

Remember in 1991 we got them in the FA Cup the same time we played them in the league, and the cup game went to a replay.

Boro v Plymouth 3 times in 10 days …. Some mileage that

I wouldn't mind going. The only time I went we had Pears in goal and was stood on an uncovered terrace behind the goal.

I think they've totally redeveloped it since so it would be good to see the changes.

Definitely fancy a couple of long distance trips next year. Fed up with the relatively local away days and influx of morons.

Never done either of the Welsh sides, wouldn't mind that.

Can’t do the train in and out on the day, so would have to be the coach. Set off at 5 am, back after midnight?

Shall we not just do Hull?

I'm quite happy. I can get to Home Park on the train, its only about 90 mins from me. And I can get to Southampton, even closer. Happy times I can see the Boro play, I miss going to games.

The worst train journey I've ever been on was Plymouth to Darlo, cross-country route when it was Virgin. It went via Newport, but there was so much more than that.

Went with my brother when we played them on a Bank Holiday Monday under Strachan, drove down on the Sunday and went for a drink around the Barbican area, absolutely rammed and was starting to get a bit lairy so we thought we'll get a taxi back to a pub called The Walrus which was around the corner from our digs, walked in and it was full of The Twe12th Man, think a couple of buses had travelled down for the Sunday and Monday, great couple of nights then back home on the Tuesday... and we won 2 nil

I'm tempted if it's a on a good weekend.

Might twist my partner's arm and making a good few days of it.

The original replay was postponed as well. I did the 7 hours on the train to find out the game had been called off when I arrived in Plymouth. I went back down for the rearranged game, 4 days off work and 28 hours sat on a train, at least we won the replay.
I also went on the Tuesday night before the ZDS final, the official away attendance was 120 (I had a mate who was a steward). I came back up to Teesside to travel down to London at the weekend.

I couldn't believe how busy Cardiff was at 1130am on the Saturday I went, the pubs were just full of people wearing their evening gear , on my train up there was a big hen party from Exeter heading there and they turned our carriage into party central. If I only go to one away game next season it's going to be Cardiff and I make a weekend of it.

I think the fastest is about 8 hours?
Definitely London across to Paddington.
Watch match.
Then Penzance and on the ferry to St Mary`s on Scilly Isles(y)
