I think they're good for keeping the season "alive" as long as possible, but I do kind of agree.

Personally I'd have it so 3rd goes straight to the final.

5 v 6 (but 5 is at home) in a straight one tie knockout.

Winner plays 4th (4th being at home). Winner goes to Wembley.

That way you still keep the season alive, but league position matters. Would've meant we'd still have had something to play for in the last few games too of course. Which might actually have helped us.
 
Another half hour of this and its hot down on that pitch.
Players will be tiring and pitch will look bigger.

Would, if they get promoted, Luton get the mullering I imagine, every - other at least - game?

I just can't see them being able to cope with teams just passing around them.. with good strikers.. it could be a new PL goals conceded record..
 
Could be wrong, but Luton would be lambs to the slaughter against the likes of Citeh, United, Arsenal, Brighton, Liverpool, et al.....
 
The last game to be decided on penna`s at Wembley was Notts v Chesterfield.
Chesterfield took the first pen.
The Notts goalie saved two pens and County got promoted to the football league with the last kick of the game!
