Who wants Man City to win the CL Saturday?

Only English teams I wouldn't support in Europe would be Sunderland (says that without trying to laugh), Newcastle, Leeds, Derby and Liverpool, so with that in mind I'll be supporting Man City.

Interestingly, the last time West Ham won a European trophy, Inter Milan won the European Cup. Would be a bit spooky if history were to repeat itself.

I want city to win, they play the best football around and are a joy to watch. It'll silence a few of the Pep doubters too.

I honestly have never thought “Man City play great football so Abu Dhabi must be a wonderful place”. The only times I even relate City with their owners is when people bang on about them.

Personally I think it’s somewhat counterproductive to always mention Abu Dhabi when talking about City’s success and at the same time complain about sports washing.

I did have to laugh at the Man City fan on TalkSport this morning saying that "City never do it the easy way".

Football fans are the same at every club, even Man City fans think they have it tough 😂.

"Typical Man City, only managing to win the Premier League and FA Cup in the end".

City for me

1/ It will hurt the Man Utd fans i know
2/ I cant stand Italian teams/players

I think Sunderland's European ban still stands .
The last time makem fans went to Europe they made the ship's Captain walk the plank and then set fire to the sails .

Wont be watching it. Bought every sucess theyve had. Always undermines my view of them despite the great football they play. Part of me wants pep to miss out just to show momey cant buy you everything

City, are the best team in Europe, if they turn up they will tear Inter apart.
They deserve to win it, and I hope they do.

Internazionale for me, as they wear our classic away kit. Those who played subbuteo in the 70s will remember the team being known as Inter Milan or Middlesbrough away!

Only English teams I support in Europe….Boro, Darlo and perhaps next season Brighton!

Net spend is a meaningless statistic because transfer fees are not the only cost of running a club. City actually have a lower net spend than Liverpool over the last 5 years. They made a profit this season. They have massive wage costs though. Man Utd and Liverpool might not be owned by oil nations but they are owned by billionaires. All of these clubs are billionaire's play things.

There’s a difference between a billionaire and an oil state.

Across the last 10 years, City's net spend is £965.49million comparing to Liverpool's balance of £338.06million. City have spent the best part of triple of what Liverpool have across the last 10 years.

Still less than Man United though. I'm also guessing as Chelsea spent half a billion pounds, this season alone to actually make their team much worse, they must be up there with City's spending.
If you want to turn a team that gets beat 8-1 by us to a team that destroys Real Madrid and Bayern it's obviously going to cost a lot of money.
